and don’t forget 'Racy Tracy"
Deirdre, Eileen, Gail and Sally are all turning into desperate housewives, have noticed alcohol consumption going up.
Yes indeed, even Blanche if she’s not slurping sherry in the kitchen she’s at the pub downing gin.
Thought Blanche was dead lol
Yes, Blanche (Maggie Jones) passed in 2010…
What is going on with Gail? They have her behaving like she’s regressed to infanthood
In the bistro Nick asked her if she’d had enough, she replied that why I’m drinking.
No, it wasn’t her ghost, we’re way behind here on the free to air tv, I often watch the newer episodes on you tube but I get too confused… about who’s with who… and what happened to him etc… so I rely on you folk for my updates
Okay! I’ll confess
On FTA… Chesney’s a kid, Charley Stubbs is driving Sharon insane… Tyrones with Maria
On the you tube series I’ve been watching… Steve owns the pub, Liz is manager and Tracy’s in jail ( I think)
On Foxtel, Stella’s mum has just helped pay Owen the money he’s owed, nasty Karl hasn’t been found out yet ( does he ever?)
there ye go, another addiction!
no wonder I get confused!!
Hello maggis, sometimes the scriptwriters try humorous scenes with certain characters and it just don’t work.
Deirdre wasn’t very considerate after helping Roy back home, guess she will tell Tracy about his sleepwalking.
Deirdre sounded drunk to me even after having just one sip of her brandy!
But is it wise for Derdrie to go walking the dog late at night along the Red Wreck? I wouldn’t be out walking in a lonely place at that time of night on my own.
Ahh, but it is soapland, and presumably they don’t want to finish her off yet lol, and Ken isn’t available to walk Eccles at present.
Now, I may be being pedantic here but a few things bothered me.
Deirdre was out in the dark. Roy had apparently gone to bed. The Rovers was still open.
It doesn’t get dark til around 10 or so. So what time was it supposed to be??
I know pubs shut at 11 but while watching I was just wondering about the time.
Deirdre, not very helpful was she? But it made me laugh!
Deirdre was out in the dark but not alone, she had the camera crew with her.lol
Did Roy actually bother to get dressed that day? I don’t think he had gone to bed, could have nodded off on the sofa deep in thought.
Being soapland I don’t suppose they are too bothered about thinking ahead, it would have been filmed perhaps 6 weeks ago, could have happened between 10.30 - 11pm, and i expect they wanted to convey it was late evening, difficult to do if still light.
Missed what Paul said … ?
What did he say that caused so much trouble ?
Sounded like play like a white man, not a saying I am familiar with at all. When I looked it up seems to refer to the days of the empire so has fallen out of fashion long before it became unPC to use it.
Ah … yes its an expression I remember hearing alot as a youngster.
I always thought it was an expression from the game of polo or was it cricket… not sure why I thought that. Im not sure it was racist … (at the time) Bit like saying … Thats not cricket. I would of thought it was more a slur against the white man … being so stuffy and playing by the rules all the time instead of just playing and enjoying the game. But every thing has been twisted now adays from inocent sayings to some thing rude.
I missed it too, assumed it was more direct.
Seems funny to see them still wearing their coats, when we are sweltering.
