I wouldn’t be so sure. You may not have the same legislation but I would bet you have similar legislation somewhere.
Our 2015 Biosecurity Act has pretty draconian measures available to it. Interestingly it is administered by the Dept of Agriculture.
Bans are in place for gatherings of over 500 people, and everybody arriving in Australia is required to self isolate for 14 days and face heavy fines or imprisonment if they fail to do so.
That’s okay then Swim, But I reckon if test kits and resources are stretched to breaking point as the BBC suggest the timescale for results will be greatly extended. If you ring our surgery and tell them you’ve got a temperature and a hacking dry cough you’ll be put on the list, test or no test…

I can see the reasoning of that Bruce, the virus is more likely to be spread by recent visitors to Aus. And large gatherings of people where it would spread like wildfire.
Wonder what’s happening in our prisons…are new prisoners being housed with old lags?
And our warships at sea…are they staying isolated with no shore leave?

Test kits are not the issue, very easily produced.
It is Lab resources which are the issue.
As I mentioned previously I had one at work which could do this but it was closed some years ago, as where many others.
Having only one of the three disfigurements, I hope that I’m pretty much immune.
