America is in the poo according to a report I heard on the radio. Trump has wanted to reduce the size of the public health system but has not been successful so has just refused to appoint people to run public health organisations.
The non China case of Covid19 took a week to confirm because there are only 12 labs in the whole USA that can do so and they are being throttled.
(That might not be 100% correct because it was a report on the radio this morning but the gist of it is.)
I’ve read that this virus will not spread in warm weather…bring on the summer!

I was/am expecting higher numbers, with more infections transmitted here in the UK and other countries outside of china, with a much lower mortality rate.
Friends here are criticising government, politicians, saying what should be done and doing, but what about us the public, should we be done and doing more in the way of preventive precautions that will help, reduce the spread of infection.
I do hope that the warmer weather brings an end to this horrible virus

Bakerman ,I’m pretty sure this virus has been spreading undetected and that’s not a conspiracy theory .
I read this today. I’m assuming it is accurate because it would certainly explain the symptoms and lack of sputum. Reading this I can certainly see why it’s being taken so seriously. It is nothing like a cold or the flu. I’m not sure why they keep being compared. Flu is caused by the influenza virus. The main similarity is that they are all highly infectious viruses spread by close contact and they attack the respiratory system. But the way they attack is in very different ways. This attacks the lungs in a way that flu does not.
Sorry to read that Galty. it’s good that he is doing the right thing and I do hope she is ok. Maybe a sign that you should meet when the weather is nicer and this bug is hopefully killed off by the warmth of the sun.
