D’you really think in a hotel where up tp 1,000 guests can be staying that this one case is going to be an isolated one ?
One report coming in says this person,a doctor no less , had a fever for six days before going g to a clinic !
If Matt Hancock says he’s worried ,so should we all be imo , this is not scaremongering . Persons returning fro Italy ought to self isolate but how many will ?
The declining figures in China may be affecting “Global active cases” because of the sheer weight of numbers in that country but elsewhere the figures are increasing:

due to the fact that people are still travelling between countries
with little real precautions being enforced?
China is showing signs of declining new cases, but as is becoming evident, europe and others seem to be at risk now!

Every country in the world appear to be doing something positive to protect it,s population from this virus. Except Britain. Why? Listening to various ‘know it alls’ on the news all they are worried about is the money that will be lost due to other countries banning things like air travel. Exporting goods etc; to this country. Surely protecting our own people should come first.
They tell us they are prepared if there is an outbreak in this country.
Why wait. Why not do something to try and prevent this virus coming here.
Iran’s Fars news agency has tweeted a video, apparently showing Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi confirming that he has been infected with the coronavirus.
He had appeared at a press conference on Monday looking unwell and mopping his brow.
He had “been on the frontlines combatting the virus”, a health ministry spokesman said.
Britain has no reason to “ lock down” anywhere in the country as a whole ?

It’s too late to prevent the virus coming here,it’s already here isn’t it .
I’m concerned about people who might be feeling symptoms but carry on going into work until they drop .
If they’re carrying this virus how many have they in turn infected ?
The situation now in Tenerife is cause for concern if indeed that one ill person is infected with the Coronovirus . Is the hotel going to be isolated as was the cruise ship ?
I am watching the situation closely, if the virus becomes widespread here I will cut myself off from people.
As a 71 year old with both respiratory and heart problems, I would be unlikely to survive the virus if I catch it

Just saw a woman in Sainsburys wearing a mask.
My youngest has had a trip to Venice with college cancelled. No idea if they will get money back. One scheduled for France later may not be happening either.
At the end of last year I caught a terrible cold which lasted a month and left me with vertigo. I’m sure I caught it from a supermarket till operator who had a dreadful cold, blew her nose in a sopping wet tissue before ringing up my groceries.
We have no chance keeping this virus under control whilst folk don’t care about sharing germs.
I truly detest being served by anyone doing this Tess. I said the same to someone who replied " maybe they can’t afford to be off work " ?
One such person telling the tale of how ill she’d been had been working feeling vile with a temperature and severe cough , but still went into work. It simply isn’t fair on the rest of us ? :mad:
