That was abandoned before I got there.Austerity!
Just got mine - 65 and a half.
I read about this a few weeks ago as an Italian professor of infectious diseases was saying it may be a treatment, then it was on the news today. The same professor thought that people may bring covid into the house on their shoes. This was about the time that Italy was having its terrible peak and they were desperate to find out how it was spreading.
But it seems this may be a potential treatment although it’s not a cure, the evidence is that it just reduces recovery time in some. I’m sure hyperbaric oxygen chambers would help too.
aha! I see hyperbaric chambers were on the news in the last few days. Makes sense as they are used to treat those with carbon monoxide poisoning or the bends. The problem is that they are specialised kit and were once only available in the private sector.
Also, every navel force in the world, which have drivers, has hyperbaric chambers. Not that they would do much good for the public because there are darn few hyperbaric chambers and there are hundreds of thousand of sick.
Global Cases 3,220,830

Australia

UK

USA

The big jump in deaths in the UK is because they have added in Covid19 deaths from places other than hospitals (as mentioned previously). It takes the mortality rate in the UK to about 16% of known cases which is a pretty tragic statistic.
Navel? Drivers?
It always pays to check your typing!
Having said that, I have made such mistakes in the past too.
Dont forget Bman is american JBR??
Donkeyman!
Yes, I know that Americans can’t spell proper English words!
But I couldn’t help imagining what a ‘navel’ force might look like. Men with exposed midriffs threatening their enemies with their bellybuttons?
Seriously, though, I’d put it down to sticky computer keys.
Interesting and v. clever, Bruce.
Senior moment ?
A few weeks ago I wrote a note which said, “The part does not fit”. I looked at that and , I thought, 'hey wait, there is no word spelled “DOES”. Can’t explain it. It just did not look right to me. Strange
We say over here "does "!
As in the dog does like a walk.
smile
and don’t talk to me about cats:confused:
Cats are better than dogs.
For one thing, they can look after themselves.
For another, they don’t require humans to take them for a walk and pick up their poo.
I said don’t:lol:
Sorry. I’ll take it back if you can send it to me.
cats are passive aggressive. They leave you to find their poo in the raised beds.
Marge is our gardener and she has yet to find any cat poo in our garden.
Either ours bury their droppings very efficiently, or they go next door like good, well-trained little cats.
Strangely, none of our neighbours’ cats seem to do their business in our garden for some reason.
I enjoy their output and it is certainly much more interesting than the noobs arguing about spelling.
