It is indeed becoming rather tedious.
Every time she comes on, Marge repeats her regular mantra about ‘how can nobody have noticed that great lump on her front?’
Obviously I know Corrie is just make believe but I find the character David is very convincing and I just want him to tell his mum what happened, I feel really sorry for the character.
As for Simon, urgh what a horrible character, not content with mugging and stealing he’s now blackmailing, I could slap him :-p
I suspect that the Simon character will continue to develop, despite all the times he has been let off with a warning, until he does something sufficiently bad that he is caught by someone who will not be so soft with him.
Perhaps the police, although the Weatherfield police are worse than the real thing; as much use as a chocolate teapot, so possibly someone evil like Phelan who will take their own revenge.
Then everyone will be feeling sorry for poor Simon!
And while I’m having a moan, I think they have ruined young Craig’s character now too!
Interestingly, he has now been accepted for training as a copper.
Mind you, Wythenshawe Police are not exactly the dog’s bollocks, are they?
Craig is such a likeable lad too 
Producer Kate Oates has confirmed that she’s leaving the ITV soap. 
Which is Kate Oates? There are so many new characters now that I’ve lost track.
Kate Oates is the Coronation Street boss, I’m glad she’s going, we might get some better storylines with a new boss, her’s were all doom and gloom

Excellent news that she’s leaving, in my opinion anyway. Perhaps we’ll see far less homo-kissing (and worse) and other exaggerated PC-isms.

Yes, that is all very true. It is intriguing that there is no explanation for the ‘extended break’. Perhaps it will all come out in the wash, eventually.
