Coronation Street

Watching that eppy of Emmerdale now.

I cheered when Billy went down. And so disappointed he is still alive.

Oooh, you nasty so-and-so.

(So did I, and Marge too!)

Heh heh!

There are so many coincidences it should be re-named ‘Coincidence Street’…And how come Billy was still coherent after downing two bottles of Vodka?

These days I suspect that a more appropriate name might be ‘PC Street’ or perhaps ‘Queer Street’!

Fed up seeing the two girls sucking and snogging each other.

I look away!

I’d rather watch them - along with the excessive ‘sound effects’ - than the two poofs.

I’m fed up with them two an’ all JBR.
There seems more same sex snogging on the soaps now then heterosexuals kissing.

Indeed. The arty-farty TV brigade think it’s trendy and PC!

What they don’t seem to realise is that if it weren’t for us ‘norms’ civilisation would die out!

I wonder how they are going to get round Tod ‘going missing’?

He won’t be back either according to the papers. I think itv bosses have sacked him, haven’t they?

My guess is that he has been accused of touching up a girl (a boy might be more appropriate to fit in with this character) and that he’s gone on the run.
The police eventually catch up with him and he is given a slapped wrist as punishment, then he disappears to a foreign country, probably Thailand.

The script writers were told to get rid of this character immediately. No opportunity to run a story line. So, this way they got him away whilst they think up some sort of vaguely suitable back story. There is absolutely no chance of him every returning.

That’s what I read, too.

So what will Phelan get up to next?
Will Eileen find out more and more, until he has to try to silence her as well?

I like poor old Eileen. I hope he doesn’t bump her off too.

Phelan’s certainly kept the Street interesting over the last year Mups, but he must be getting close to the end of his appearance.

Oh no, not another pregnancy on the street, it must be Adams, the crooked Lawyer. Is he going to take over from Phelan as the street bad guy?

While Shaun was supposed to be stitching nickers, Mrs Fox noticed that there was a label inside the pair he was supposed to have just finished. Is this a mistake by the producers, or was it intentional?

I don’t care for that crooked Adam Barlow, Foxy. Never have.

I agree Phelan must be coming to the end of his run now. Much as everyone hates him, I can’t help but wonder if it will go rather flat without him.

Didn’t notice the knicker label. Mrs. Fox is very astute.

I noticed the label!

As for Phelan and Anna, I have a feeling she is found guilty, as per what I read in next week’s TV guide. His daughter Nicola makes an appearance.

Not saying owt, cos it’s a spoiler!!!

Well that was interesting in Corrie, eh? What’s Phelan going to do next?

I’m hoping he’ll just ignore it and continue doing what he does best. An excellent character adding some real interest to the stories.
