It seems that Soaps IE Corrie St and Emmerdale are intent on showing white males as weak feeble and simple minded specimens, example Steve Mac, Marlon and David in Emmerdale etc etc etc.

Tis also true, the soaps used to be about every day life once, they are getting too far fetched now.
I used to like the soaps, but I am afraid to say that I sometimes now don’t bother to watch them, so come to my PC to talk to you lot instead… that just shows how bad they are getting!

After watching Emmerdale or Corrie, I’m left wondering why, on my small complex of 40 flats (a) we don’t have everyone’s mobile number in our contacts list, (B) we don’t have affairs with each other, (c) we don’t all even know each other, (d) we don’t all go down the pub to socialise!!!
Am I missing out on an exciting life, somehow??

I am a bit concerned about the chronological order of events concerning Leanne’s baby, wasn’t Steve awol in Spain, when the conception was sposed to have taken place. Carla and Nick got married in May, it is now late August, and Leanne has just had her first scan, there are as many mysteries in soap land as in forum life.
Quite confusing if you ask me Spitty. There’s more humping going on between people who shouldn’t be humping what kind of example is it setting for our young people…Or old people come to think of it…

I’ve nothing against shirt-lifters if that’s what they like, but I feel that the current script writers in Coronation Street are just going a bit too far and a bit too often these days. Still, they say that most TV people are that way inclined and I suppose they are carrying on the tradition of marching (or should I say mincing) to show how proud they are now that they are allowed out of the closet!
