You don’t see folks glued to the computer either, that would make a good current storyline, a Wum or Troll, being found out then ostracised.
Perhaps they have more sense, JBR .
It always amuses me when people from Corrie - Ken Barlow, Steve from the pub etc., - are referred to as “stars” when they don’t do anything else ! That is not a star in my book.
It’s had its day, it has been running too long. There can’t be any story lines left to do.
It should be replaced with a good western. How about a re-run of ‘The high chaperal’ or ‘gun smoke’?
Having just read an upcoming Corrie story line, I won´t bother watching it much longer. The story lines appear to be getting even more ridiculous, I just hope the one I just read gets scrapped, it´s completely unbelievable.
Everything has an ending, it is time that corrie ends.
For an ending, I would suggest that during the night, when everyone is asleep in their own beds, a very deep sink hole happens and Coronation street and surrounding area disappears into it, never to be seen again.
No, it was Jazzy who answered the question!!
Ooh, give us a clue please Loretta. A PM will do! I love spoilers, though your comments have just filled me with dread, in case I don’t like it.
I DO know about the one with a certain female and a certain male. And what might be happening with a certain male against another certain male, though I don’t know where that’s leading. Mysterious, eh??
Yes name names.
Sorry Jazzi, I knew there was a ‘Z’ in the name…Another senior moment…I Should have gone to specsavers! Wait a minute…I did.
It certainly has been running for a long time. Certainly, longer than any other soap.
It is also an outstanding example of political correctness, but then aren’t the acting profession and television people that way inclined anyway?
However, it still pulls in the TV audiences, doesn’t it? Another big advantage over its competitor, Eastenders, is that the writers continue to bring humour into the storylines.
No, I think it has many years to go yet and I bet it sees me out!
Edit: Cowboy films are an anathema to me. They’re all the same: Americans shooting each other (or Indians sometimes). Come to think of it, they’re still doing that, aren’t they?
There has only been one cowboy film that I rated: The Shootist.
There has been a Yorkie in the street in the past JBR, it was Kevin Websters Dad an actor called Peter Armitage who was born in Sheffield (1940) He has appeared on quite a few occasions, the last one being in 2011 when he moved to Germany. His place has been left open should he wish to return. He also appeared in a Yellow Pages advert with a famous line saying “I was right about that saddle”.
Yes I agree with you about Corrie JBR, it’s a bit more light hearted than Eastenders, which I stopped watching many years ago. The story lines in Corrie do leave a lot to be desired at times though and I sometimes wonder why I keep watching it, but I do. It’s like an extension of my family now after watching it for so long. A bit like this forum.
You’re wrong about the westerns though, I’ve seen some brilliant films in the past:- Butch and Sundance, Tombstone, The Unforgiven, All of the Spaghetti Westerns with Clint Eastwood and not forgetting some of the old classics, Gunfight at the OK Corral, Last Train To Yuma and The Big Country…Awww I’m off to see if there is one on now somewhere, you’ve given me the taste…
Vera Duckworth was a Tyke as well. But where are they now?
Yes, it has its ups and downs and, as has been said, is very PC, but we still watch every episode.
I confess, there was a second cowboy film I liked, or at least the bit around the camp fire: Blazing Saddles.
Are you quite sure you want me to tell you what I read? It is there on the internet. I’ve also just read that along with Kylie, Jason is leaving the show also.
As per your PM, it’s what I already knew Loretta, thanks.
Thought there was something else in the pipeline!
DON’T LOOK!
I looked
I looked too.
I peeped through my fingers at just the heading . . .
