I agree and hope that it turns out to be (2)!
I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve announced to my long-suffering wife that he deserves a good hiding.

Are you allowed to record conversations secretly? I was once informed by my union representative (long story) that such recordings are inadmissible in court.
She’d have to tell Nick about the “offence” anyway as it would come out in a court case.
Does it still count as blackmail if (as in this case) there is no demand for money?
I think Soaps set out to create a character who is a paragon of virtue, then set about putting temptations before them, so the audience can best guess when the character will succumb, we have yet to witness such resistance in a character yet, but the viewer would find that boring.
Are any characters paragons of virtue? they all have their faults from the beginning, don’t they? just that to start with of course we don’t know about them. Even the infants start revealing faults as soon as they are able to act them out.
They tend to throw in one or two periodically, that we think are going to mirror what we perceive to be the “Norm” in their aspiration for peace and quiet, and, longevity in a relationship, but we all know, things are never as they seem.
Whom would you perceive to be the “Norm” in Corrie-land?
…
Norris and Mary are the closest we have to the Norm.
We don’t see either of them as faultless, though, do we?
And far too eccentric to be the “Norm” for anywhere.
(Didn’t he once accuse her of kidnapping him?)
They are the Norm in my world.
No pretence, flawed to the core, but you know what you are going to get.
Recently Corrie street has become so very boring…ZZZZZZ
Rita. Audrey. Kevin. Chesney. Fizz . Tyrone…
Oh there are quite a few when you think about it…
Mary would make someone an excellent wife, she has so much love to bestow upon the right bloke…
Mary is off her head, cant abide the stupid woman
Mary is a great character, she is aware of all her idiosyncrasies, and can pinpoint thier cause to a specific incident in her life, usually associated with her mother.
Its really good that we can all have our differing views on characters Spitfire …Mary just sets my teeth on egde.
Everyone would like a Mary in their life, but not too close.
Speak for yourself Spit lol:shock: I wouldnt!
Norris has some admirable characteristics.
