Coronation Street

I’m in love with Carla, I want to nurse her better.

Join the queue:twisted:

My husband loves her too - guess you’ll all have to form an orderly queue.

I hope Simon carries out his threat of not coming back from visiting his Dad!

Isn’t Tracy evil?!

I hope so too Jazzi and yes Tracy is a nasty piece of work isnt she…it will catch up with her I hope too
Ive no clue as to what a nice guy like Rob is doing with her.

Aw Simon used to be such a cute little kid. Now he’s so hateful!
Just proves what a good actor Alex Bain is.

Just a slight ‘off topic’ question if I may, what do these child actors do about schooling in ‘real life’?
Simon has been in the programme for years, so do kids like that have private tuition I wonder?
Learning all their scenes and lines can’t be easy with school learning as well. At least with the adult actors it is their only job (probably).

You’re bound to say that Mups, your his Mum and biased. We don’t know him personally so can’t comment, but we all stick up for our own and sometimes don’t see in them what others see.

Peter probably thinks the sun shines out of Simon’s rectum and is oblivious to his tantrums. Simon does not understand the meaning of love, and he sees it as a weapon, a weakness he can use against Leanne to get his own way. By no fault of his own he has learned that he gets a reaction when he is nasty, Leanne is one of life’s victims, the more love she bestows on Simon the more angry he gets. A good father can see through this and is not blinded by love and would not react as Leanne has done.

Nobody is born angry, he has been allowed to get away with it for too long and it will be difficult alter now it has taken him over, he is destined to be one of life’s bullies. I can see one of three outcomes…
(1) He joins the army and is shaped into a decent young man who will be taught to be a team player and a thoughtful and caring human being.
(2) He unleashes his anger on the wrong person and gets beaten to a pulp. Something that he will remember for the rest of his life - if he survives.
(3) He kills or maims someone and spends the rest of his life in prison.

Peter always was a negligent father, and last time S went to see him was mainly left with P’s latest g/f and didn’t get on with her.

(Yes, I hope that having been Simon all those years won’t be a disadvantage for the young actor.)

I agree with your last bit OGF.

As for you thinking I may be biased towards my son, I can assure you he is not voilent and never has been. I think I should know if he had ever thumped or bullied me!!
I agree some women turn a blind eye to their kids ‘failings’ but he has honestly never been in trouble with the law.
I think I would know if he was a fighter or had been carted off my cops for something. He only lives locally so even if I didn’t see him, I’d hear through the grapevine or local papers! He’s mostly very placid.

He’s been much the same temperament since he was a kid.
He’s always been fairly quiet, doesn’t invite trouble. Doesn’t drink or smoke, and worked shiftwork for years so doesn’t really go pubbing or night clubbing or places where trouble breaks out. He’s getting too bloomin’ old now anyway.
So not a case of being biased at all, if he was a tow-rag I’d admit it.

Of course there are rules for the amount of regular schooling they must have at that age, and chaperones, and the amount of time they are allowed to appear on screen etc. but I still worry about them over-using child actors.

Sorry Mups, didn’t mean to cast aspersions.

No probs OGF. http://yoursmiles.org/csmile/friend/c0417.gif

C’mon Carla, get with the game, girl.

Record every conversation with Tracey, blackmail carries a 5-14 year sentence.

This always happens in soaps, the interruptions, the big counter story (earrings on offer or acceptance by Gail?) could anybody get married on a lie… It’s beginning to ‘Do My Ed’ In’ And doesn’t Chesney realise he’s got a Kat Moss on his hands.

Chesney is the most boring drip they’ve ever had on The Street. What is he there for? Is he the token ginger?

Sinead’s voice grates. And isn’t it time she dropped the Aunt before Beth? They’re both adults, for goodness sake!

Oh the interruptions…

:blush:I still say “aunty” before their name, come to think of it all my cousins do.

I’m rapidly losing interest in Coronation Street. If Anna had been straight with Kevin it would never have come to this. Surely if you intend to spend the rest of your life with somebody as Anna wanted to do with Kevin there can be no secrets.

And Carla is not being true to character. She is a fighter, a hard business woman who does not accept fools gladly, she would stand up and call a ‘Spade a Spade’ so how come she is being pushed around by Tracey. Again, it should not have come to this if she had been straight with Nick. She has gone way down in my estimation.

The writers have lost the plot! There are too many horrible people in the street now.
Pat Phelan, Tracey Barlow, Simon Barlow, Brendon (the adulterer) Tony ( Who fraudulently obtained the Rovers) Callum (the drug dealer under Gail’s pad) David and Kylie ( who did the deed) Norris and Sally (very unpleasant characters) but the list is by no means definitive.

Funny when you think about it - why do we call certain relatives by a title. I mean, we don’t say “Hello Cousin Joe”, or “Hello Brother Fred”, so why do we say " Uncle & Auntie" before their names?
