And the entire series was filmed outdoors, well most of it anyway. It’s fascinating to see how the streets of London used to be.

A lot of the Sweeney, car chases in all, was filmed in Fulham, wasteland by the river, all developed now with luxury apartments.

Yep …an old friend of mine grew up in Fulham, he remembers so many of those streets, locations, he’s a real Sweeney addict.
What sticks in my mind was all that corrugated steel fencing that was ubiquitous in many parts of London, often covered in posters advertising gigs.

Anybody remember “No Hiding Place” from the 1950s? I think it was the first cops and robbers show I ever saw. From memory the opening titles were over the old Wolsley police cars ringing their bells and driving into (old) Scotland Yard.
I found the titles on Youtube but not quite how I remember them

I like stuff away from the norm. My favourite is “Grimm” closely followed by " The Dresden Files"
I also like “Murdoch Mysteries” and the “Miss Fisher Mysteries”
Bringing it close to home I love Shetland and Rebus.
