morning all, raining here ,woke up in the night with a streaming nose , think i have a cold , did a covid test and that was negative.
Food delivery this morning , filling my Pantry with tin stuff that’s on offer at the moment, plus Dog food .
Went to town yesterday and did some Retail Therapy.
Nothing planned for today .

I did not have a good night, just could not get to sleep. Don’t know why.
The weather here is overcast but not too cold. Done my walk with Minnie, and the ground is still mucky.
Nothing yet planed, but going to my daughter for dinner this evening.

Good morning all, it’s turned into a lovely sunny morning, after early rain. I shall hang the towels out to dry later. But first, let me tell you why I’ve got a lot of towels and tea towels in the machine…
Yesterday evening, there I was, cooking the dinner, and needed to get something from the fridge. Now the door shelf that holds our milk flagons has broken - the shelf itself is ok, but the guard rail along the front broke in two when I dropped it a few weeks ago. Consequently we are accustomed to opening the fridge door carefully. So far so good. But not yesterday. As I opened the door a nearly full 4 pinta fell to the floor and split 
. I picked it up quickly and placed it on the draining board, split side up, but not before a huge pool of milk had formed, looking as though it was running under the fridge and the washing machine. So I grabbed every towel and tea towel to hand, while Mr B carefully decanted what was left of the milk into jugs. Lord, what a mess, and it took so long to keep mopping and mopping as the milk ran out from under the appliances - thank heavens it ran out and not back to the wall as getting our big fridge freezer out is an almost impossible task!!
I’m going to search for spare parts today and order a new door shelf!!!
Spilt milk goes everywhere!!
Left chicken to cool while I walked the dog, and have spent ages getting the meat off. I think that took just as long as cooking it. One for me, one for the dog, some into storage bag…etc etc…
Not hoovered yet, but will first update my bank and daily spend books.

Morning chatters! I am experiencing the joys of a pre-breakfast walk these days, but its a job and a half getting the dog to share my enthusiasm!
Not much doing today, just pottering around. Its chilly but sunny…dare I hang a washing out I wonder

I decided that I am not that Jesus person and can’t walk on water.
That is the state of the sports fields back of my house when I normally go with Minnie. I decided to walk the streets and down the ‘Cavendish path’ as they now call it. We that use it called it the ‘Ching’ as the river Ching runs alongside it. More of a stream really.
Right. Laundry is being done as a write. Daughter has gone to the IOW, so I have been left to my own to do whatever.
P.S. Excuse my ignorance, but what is ‘Flagging’?

Try posting that Putin is the devil incarnate and has slitty eyes and so on (someone I know did something like this and it was flagged) then I’ll flag it and you’ll see!

The sun is shining…yay! Do we dare to hope spring is on its way?
Can’t believe my little break is now only 2 weeks away. Spose I’d better get myself organised a bit better. Want to buy an extra gift for the friends I am seeing Sunday evening (I have one already), as they got married last September. I also want some new clothes, so may go to Bon Marche in the week.
Yesterday I ordered, and topped up, a new London travel Oyster card, and got into my old account. I have £8.10 balance on the old card, which I cannot find, and hopefully I can transfer that onto the new card when I get it, and add to my online account. Then I can travel from the nearby overground station (from the hotel) into London when I plan my day out. I have arranged to meet up with an ex colleague from the bank who will restart five days a week back in the office from tomorrow. It will be in her lunch break, then I will continue with my own plans.
For seeing old neighbours back in my home town, I could maybe use my bus pass*, and roam around, then catch the overground back to the hotel later in the day, using the Oyster. Oooh how I miss my free Oyster card when living there! Free travel on every mode of transport.
*Car parking is becoming a nightmare, as is driving. CPZs, cycle lanes, roads blocked off, one way streets, signs warning of ‘no left or right turns’. And I believe my old home is now operating a live car parking scheme, whereby they need permits. I could get one from one of the ladies I will be visiting, but think, nah…I’m using public transport.

I have no experience of the flagging thing either, having neither given nor received a flag. I would like to think that if I was that appalled by something then I would remonstrate with the poster on the thread rather than flag the post anonymously…
Good morning all, a lovely morning here with sun and very little breeze albeit a slight frost earlier.
Today I would like to finish servicing my Jeep, for as the vehicle stands outside it’s not been fit to do it over the last few days. No other plans so may get an hour in the garden after lunch if it stays fine.

Morning everyone, another dry day, and the sun’s peeping through at the moment. Off out in a mo to take my daughter and granddaughter to the pool for their weekly swim. She often says she feels guilty at how much we run around after them, but the truth is the bus service is so poor at the moment, with so many scheduled buses having been pulled, and Sunday service is bad at the best of times. If she’s just going into town, or coming round here with no deadline involved, then she’s fine with the bus, but getting to the pool for a specific time slot on a Sunday is difficult. Anyway, all this toing and froing to the pool is paying off, as the little one can now swim 5 metres and so has moved up to the next class, where she’s aiming for 10 metres. She’s chuffed to buttons!
Then I’m home again to play with my new sewing machine! I am so excited about it, and looking forward to familiarising myself thoroughly with it. I think what I must do, though, is make a stout fabric cover for it, because the hard case that comes with it is, frankly, enormous, and is going to get in the way when I take it off to use the machine!
Morning all , a sunny day here and I heard a Bird chirping away at break of dawn , I shall at some point be going for a walk when my Driver gets here .Not sure where we will go but it always finishes with me having to shower Ellie when we get back , Roll on those dry days when mud doesn’t stick .
I shall take my camera for any thing that catches my eye ,.
Thoughts are with those in Ukraine,we are so lucky to have freedom to please our selfs
