Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

God morning all.

Glad your daughter is back home safe Emjay and your dogs ears are good.
Nothing planned for me for the day.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning all.
COLD. It certainly is. The ground is so frozen and hard that where it has been churned up by last weekā€™s football players, not for good walking.
Not a lot planed for today except going to my daughter for dinner this evening.
Shall just sit here and try and finish the story I am reading on my kindle.

Good morning all, a good frost here too but the sun is out so no complaintsā€¦

Nothing much happening here, just having smoked cod and poached eggs for lunch then maybe a walk afterwards before settling down with a film, so another easy dayā€¦

Hoping your day is pain free and pleasant.

Good morning all, another bad night, couldnā€™t sleep with pain, but I suppose I will just have to put up with it. Nothing planned here for the day. Have a nice day all.

Good morning all.
Sort of busy morning so far. Second laundry in the wash and first one in the dryer.
Been out for the stroll around the fields with Minnie and saw one of the foxes prancing about.
Itā€™s really miserable out, cold Misty and damp.
Had to net a dead fish out of the pond and bury it. Had to put a heavy stone on it because in the past something digs them up.
I expect my daughter will be coming here later to drag me out somewhere.

Morning all.

A wander around the retail park later for me. Return something to Halfords, then into Morrisons for a few bits. (Sis will come for a roast lunch tomorrow, and at some point we will draft a letter of complaint to her energy supplier.). I might also pop into home bargains, Iceland, or Pets at Home. Then again I might not.

Waiting for both Morrisons and Iceland to have back in stock some minted lamb products. Swirls in M, or the luxury puff pie in I. Both rather delicious.

Good morning everyone, -3Ā°C here this morning with quite a thick fog in places, certainly not a pleasant morning for a stroll but we did brave it for the dogā€™s sakesā€¦ :innocent:

No plans now other than cooking omelette and chips for lunch, so I may tackle another jigsaw and do a bit more on my model airplane.

Wishing you all a pleasant (and pain free) day

Hi Susie
As a fellow backache sufferer, have you ever thought of changing your mattress to an orthopaedic mattress? I use one and I find it much more supportive for sleeping.

Hi Mags, Thank you for your concerns, but the mattress is only 2 years old and its a very firm one, especially for my back. The thing is, itā€™s a disc problem, the disc is compressing on my Sciatic Nerve, on my Spine, Bum, Hip & Leg, I use two pillows at night, one under my back and the other between my knees which my GP told me to do, which helps a bit.

Good morning all, according to the weather forecast its going to be a nice sunny day.
Nothing planned.
Have a nice day all.

Morning Susie et al, no frost here this morning and a sunny dry day ahead they sayā€¦ :sunglasses:

We are off to Leicester this morning to visit friends and family for lunch, so really looking forward to that after missing Christmas with them.

Have a pleasant Sunday everyone

Morning all.

Enjoy your day out Barry.

My sis will be here today for a roast lunch (I bought sliced Turkey and pork) and Morrisons individual apple crumbles with cream). And hopefully we can sit at the computer and draft a letter of complaint to her energy supplier. I want to push for some compensation for leaving her without heating and hot water for 8 days. Even the second engineer said that should never have happened.

Then, as per usual when she is here for awhile, will accompany me and Holly for a little walk.

Good morning all.
Still very damp and cloudy here.
Just done my usual stroll with Minnie.
Nothing planed for today so shall just let it happen.
I will try and finish the story I am into on the kindle.
Lamb shank and lots of vegetables for midday meal.

Good morning all.

Off out very early this morning before the crowds to do my weekly shopping and thatā€™s it, an Indian Curry tonight for dinner.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning all.
I suppose I could say a loverly crisp morning. In other words it is blinking cold.
Canā€™t go on the Monday group walk as my knees canā€™t take the strain. I have got to get them sorted one way or another. The injections that I had donā€™t seem to last .
Plans for today???

Morning all.

Sorry to hear the injections never last. Seems to be the norm with other people, too.

Shortly after a quick lunch I will be off to see a coffee group lady and her new pup. Canā€™t wait! Near you, Susie, but sorry, no time to pop in.

Morning everyone, looks like being a sunny day here but still chilly, we have the heating on low but when our fixed price deal comes to an end in March we look like just putting on more sweaters, what with the projected rise in energy costsā€¦:flushed:

Nothing much planned other than bathing the dogs before we clip them tomorrow.

Wishing you all a pleasant day

Sister has been offered an apology and a goodwill compensation credit of Ā£150. She is very happy with that, as am I. Together with the outstanding top up of Ā£25 (I have emailed a copy of the receipt) she can have a gas supply for quite awhile. She is out right now but I said read your email later and reply, accepting.
