Morning. -3c here.
I bet you can’t wait Janet, wheels again.
Morning. -3c here.
I bet you can’t wait Janet, wheels again.
Yes Emjay and Susie, will be glad to get my independence back.
Morning all.
Lot of frost on cars and roads today, so reckon I will be staying home. Or at least leaving the car here.
Hoping the pavements aren’t too bad for Holly’s paws, but I will be quick on our walks.
Stay safe everyone.
Good morning all.
Again blue sky and sunshine. But I ain’t being fooled, as it is so cold out.
I realised this when I went to look at the pond.
The filter/pump is still working, but there is ice everywhere.
So I have no plans to go anywhere today.
Well it is laundry day for me, and that is being done.
Also got a bread on the make.
Morning folks.
No plans for today as yet. Yesterday I stayed hunched on the sofa reading a library book, start to finish. Wondering if ok to do the same today, lol. I’m just focusing on trying to stay warm.
Good morning all, its flipping cold here at -3c.
Not going out today, staying in the warm.
Have a nice day all.
A brief dog walk. Was being careful on the pavements as though not bad overall, I think some places still had a bit of frost.
I reckon I must turn my car engine over to make sure it will start. Would like to get to retail park in a day or so, and certainly use it to get me to communal cafe tomorrow afternoon.
Good morning all.
That’s an understatement, I t’s not good out.
Frosty and foggy.
No need to go anywhere today. But maybe later I will go for a walk somewhere.
I sent a photo to my daughter, telling her that this is what she is coming home to. She should be back tomorrow.
My niece is probably home now from a holiday in Tenerife. She did know we had extreme weather here and obvs was reluctant to leave the sun.
Morning all.
Going to our retail park this morning in the new car then this afternoon will drive to the community cafe. I’ll ask one of the ladies, who has a much longer walk, if she’s going and will want a lift.
Good morning all.
No sign of any frost this morning. I have not yet stuck my head out of the door, so don’t know if it is still as cold.
My daughter’s plane should be landing about 10am. I am already tracking the flight on an app.
Off to Sainsburys later.
Good morning all.
I hate winter. My whole body feels so cold. Maybe I am dead and don’t know it.
We, that is daughter, grandson, and I had to go down the road yesterday to clear some rubbish from the rear of the properties as the scaffolding is being put up and work is going to start on them.
The plan is now that they are going to rent them out when they are made habitable.
I expect that I shall accompany my daughter later when she goes to Sainsburys.
Morning all.
I can empathise with the cold, Emjay. Can never seem to warm up. Hate my freezing ice box of a bathroom.
Just the cafe meet this morning, then I expect I will have a couple of days home with the dog. Won’t need to take the car out for a bit.
Did I forget to say I almost had my car hit in the retail park yesterday morning? Just as well I was sitting in it, ready to drive forwards out of the bay, when a woman started reversing into the one next to me. Except she was heading straight for my car. She got a very long loud blast on my horn. Bet other shoppers must have wondered what was going on, but it made her stop just in time! As we passed I glared at her and she at least acknowledged her mistake, mouthing sorry.
I thought of winding down the window to shout ‘I’ve only had this four days and it’s the first time I’ve been out’ but it wouldn’t have achieved anything.
Good morning all, no frost today, sun is shining, have already been out to Gorleston, went to Iceland, QD and Morrisons. Back home now in the warm.
Have a nice day all.
Morning all.
Friend who works in the shop will pop in later, stay for about an hour for coffee and chat. We always have customers coming in interrupting us, lol.
Might need to dash round with the hoover first if I have time.
I might drive into Gorleston one day, as I like looking around Farm Foods and QD.
Good morning all.
It’s very damp looking out, but not raining.
For me this morning it is AgeUK for the usual tea/coffee and gossip. Her down the road is not going as she has a dental appointment.
Damp here too, Emjay.
Good morning you two, no rain, no wind, little bit cold but not that bad, no plans for me today.
Do some housework.
Have a nice day all.
Morning all. Dreary, grey sky.
I keep forgetting that I open my window in the morning to air the room, wonder why the lounge floor is cold and find the window still open around 9pm when I go up to prepare for bed. Can’t wait for the spring.
Might go into town to say hello to the ladies on their usual Thursday coffee morning meet up, then to the library next door. On the way home, collect my repeat meds.
Thinking of getting someone in during the spring and making radical changes to the garden. I have a useless bit of raised bed running from the shed that sees no sun whatsoever, and it is currently a dumping ground. I’d like that completely cleared, taken away, and paving slabs put in place. Also the shingle path between the shed and fence the other side needs to be cleared. I want to put both bins back there but struggle to get them out, on the stupid little round slabs that dot the path. Ideally I’d like that bit paved too. By that time the roses and magnolia will need trimming back, as will the remaining shrubs, and I’d just like to see the whole garden looking neater and tidier.
Shan’t bother with the guy I usually bring in. He is too slow. I want someone who is used to this kind of work, who will get to without delay and hopefully won’t be fazed by the task in hand.
