Daughter and family are off for two weeks, so for me it will be ‘home alone’ sort of thing.
I am not really bothered as I will find things to do.
For dinner today I have a big lump of Turkey pie, that my son in law made me. I have enough for another three meals that are in the freezer.
The weather here is gloomy and feeling damp.

I decided to get to town for my groceries (bread, milk, cheese, ham, and a few other bits), returning two library books and walked there and back. Got there by 10, (bus wouldn’t have been until 10.23 ish) and at 10.30 was already making my way home, and reached here before the bus left. So about 20 minutes walking e/w.
A local tiny car dealer has a Juke auto for sale, within my budget. Same colour as mine. I was reluctant to go there as (a) they are a very small unit and (b) it’s a horrible walk there and back, involving steep steps. Or going the very long way round on the flat. I’ll phone them in the morning first, see if still there.

Been trying car sales all morning, no answer. Not going to do the long walk to find them not there. Argh.

I did intend to have a lazy day. But already did a bodge job on one of the old fence panels in the garden.
Put more food out in the containers for the vultures.
Done a muddy walk round the field.

Wow, Susie! We had them going off in the evening and well into the morning. Holly became anxious at around 12.45, and I had to draw her into my side on the bed, and keep hugging her, till she calmed down. She had gone downstairs barking and wanted the garden but I soon brought her back in.

Phone calls to make this morning. And as it’s raining, I will get wet enough on the dog walk, so probably won’t go and view the car. Too far, in this weather. Going to phone them anyway, with a question or two.

I am having to give my morning walk around the fields a miss as it is so muddy. I thought I had grown a couple of inches, but no, it was the build up of mud on my boots.

Thanks Susie. It is the same colour and model as the one I’ve just lost. It could just be a matter of making sure the body work is ok, and listening to engine. And making sure all is ok inside, and check paperwork.
If we’re not out too long, I might ask him to drop me off in the main road near the bus stop, and go to Tesco. Got a shopping list with me. Yesterday evening I tried to organise a Morrisons delivery but half the stuff then came up as unavailable, so I thought, no point!
