Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Ha Ha…No, to keep kids off the garden…
:face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I was edging the lawn & caught my finger on the electric shears. They’re very sharp - I thank goodness it didn’t take the edge of my finger off.

Morning all, beautiful sunshine here, so looks like I might be sunbathing today.

Have a nice day all.

Morning all.

Well I should be spending time on the allotment, but might have just an hour there. Having lunch out with sis.

Good morning all.
Already perspiring quite freely.
No wind, blue sky, and hot. Although there was a heavy mist on the field earlier.
Off to Sainsbury’s shortly for my stock up on what I need.
Then there are things that I need to do in the garden.

Good morning everybody.

After suffering from PMR (Polymyalgia Rheumatica) for 4 years a new doctor at our surgery has decided I should see a rheumatologist.
I’ve an appointment this afternoon. He may want to take me off the steroids that I take to control it but without them I can’t function!!

Nothing else planned for the day. I will take Tony with me.

Have a good day all…

:weary::weary::weary: Sounds terrible, hope there’s no lasting damage :+1:

Ended up walking for 2 hrs up and down steps.

No - it’s healing nicely now thanks.

Had a lovely meal in Harvester, and sis had a voucher for 40% off mains.

Morning. Now coming down with what I hope is just a cold. Sore throat, runny nose, and tiredness. Wondered why yesterday all I wanted to do was shut my eyes.

Still hoping to make it to the cafe this morning, but then will revert to being in a prone position.

Negative for Covid. Phew.

Good morning all.
Phew! It’s hot and sticky.
Those of you that live near the coast, must get some relief from the sea breeze.
I got rid of the other recliner on ‘Freecycle’ just glad to see it go and gain the space.
Chores for today. Well just got a bread making.
Clean up the sticky tape stuff that I put around the bathroom window frame.
I still find the odd dead wasp in the bathroom, and thought that they can’t be coming through the window frame. Then it suddenly dawned on me.
As they are in the loft, they could be coming through gaps in the loft hatch.
Plan ?

Wait until the weather cools down before going into the loft. They’ll become dormant soon so you can investigate without getting attacked in the cramped space. Lots of people have fallen from the loft hatch after being attacked by wasps. :honeybee:

Yes Ralph I know all about the behaviour of wasps. Just leave them alone until the cold weather and frost, then they all die. The Queen clears off to find another place to hibernate, and start a new colony elsewhere in the spring.

Should keep the flies away!

Morning all, beautiful sunny day here.
Forgot to come in here this morning.
Have been to the Car Boot sale and bought my strawberries, came home and did a load of washing, and have just finished ironing.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning all.

Off to Gorleston this morning visiting the shops, then got to go to the Tropical Fish shop to buy some more plants, some have gone yellow and are dying off, too much light in the Tank.

Have a nice day all.

Morning.

Walking Holly shortly, might have a weetabix for breakfast, then going back to bed. It hurts to swallow just my coffee.

I have messaged my sister asking if tomorrow’s carvery can be delayed.

Good morning all.
Looks like another hot one. What complaining? Nah not me. Love it.
So off to the AgeUK coffee morning, then I expect that I shall see my daughter later.
She might drag me to Costco. I do like the free tasties there.
