My day for seeing to the cats, so I will nip round there about 10, then get back in time for the cafe meet at 11. Back to see to feed them again later this afternoon, then Thursday will be my last day.
Had a bit of a tidy round yesterday, so rubbish could go in the bin. It’s collection day and I’ve already taken it down the alley. NfH put theirs almost outside my front so I pulled it away towards their side. I swear all they do is deliberate.
Morning all, a bit grey here again, but mild and dry for the moment so no complaints.
Mum’s 94th birthday today, so we’ll be going over soon to take her gifts. No other plans so I’ll probably find a job or two in the garden later if the weather allows.
Good morning all.
Again I got dragged to different places on the island. We went to ‘The spyglass’ restaurant at Ventnor, where I have been before in the past.
Good morning all.
Another loverly sunny day here at the IOW.
Such a shame that we are going home today.
Yesterday we went to find a sheep that was at another farm. My daughter calls her ‘Darling’ as she knew it when it was a lamb. When it saw her yesterday, it came running to her.
We had another good pub lunch.
Have to leave Holly today, as need the town, but she now seems better. I should think so, with all the treatments given yesterday. The insurers paid out the same day, and it is already in my account,
Good morning all.
So here we are almost back to normal.
Done my morning walk around the field.
Weather is not too bad at the moment.
There was loads of apples on the ground that had to be cleared up.
Slugs removed from the pond.
I have got to find a new home for my reclining chair, as I have another one that my daughter organised coming some time.
It was a friend of ours, that has moved to Leeds to be with her children.
It is only a year old.
Cleaning lady coming shortly.
Back from seeing to the cats, and just had hair cut. Bought a meat pie in Aldi and shall do that with boiled veg for lunchtime. This evening I won’t have time to cook so will have to be a sandwich maybe.
One of the cats wanted to go out but thought she strayed onto the path and back in, wanted out again. I wouldn’t let her as I don’t know what time I will get there this evening. Not with a 4pm vet appointment and the drive back.
I seem to be doing a lot of juggling at the moment and hope the balls land very soon. Been told my sis and family have had their flight home delayed a couple of hours and have been told 2am. So they theoretically should land in Stansted tomorrow between 4.30 - 5am. Nephew then has to drive them home. Can you imagine how fractious the young children are likely to be? I will need to check with my sis if I am doing the later visit as well, so she can rest, or if she stays the night with them.
But that’s all by the by. We won’t know anything until the plane actually takes off.
Well I still don’t know what’s happening with my sister and her family. I have just Whatsapped her, asking for news, but no reply. I awoke at 4.30 for the loo, so checked on my iPad for the UK and Ibiza airports, but couldn’t see anything. Then a short while ago I saw she’d FBd at midnight, saying flight at 2.30. But still no arrival for that time is showing at Stansted. They must be shattered.
I’ll see to the cats as normal this morning, but won’t let any out, as it’s raining. I don’t know whether I will be back there later today. She messaged me yesterday, asking how things were, but saying wifi was patchy.
And I’ve not been back to sleep since 4.30, so I’m tired as well.
Well, I have only received a sticker, of a flying plane and someone on top, but she hasn’t responded to me asking, am I still doing the cats? I still don’t know what’s going on. Sigh. I will go anyway, soon.
