Thanks to all those who have wished me better re my back. I have been using my TENs machine religiously and taken pain killers. Going to drive into town later and, with the aid of my walking stick, will try to get to Boots for some Movelat gel. The tube I have is really out of date, and they sell it OTC. Mostly I can move about the house unaided, but am taking it easy.
Dog was walked at 8 by my friend/neighbour from the shop. I may just let the lunchtime one go if weather too hot, and friend will be back for the later outings. Holly can stay in the garden when Iâm home.
Got some washing to put out for drying, prior to our caravan break from Monday. Not going to attempt putting in a laden suit case but will take stuff out in bags, bit by bit. Hollyâs case is smaller and I should manage that. Hoping to feel better by then anyway. Check in isnât till 4 and itâs only about 15 minutes drive away. Same place as four weeks ago.
Unable to purchase the Movelat because of my blood thinners. Was recommended a hot water bottle, so as I already have one at home am using it now. Bought a back brace but need to check the measurements before I open the box.
Just taken Holly out the front for a quick wee and back in. Told my neighbour I will try to do her walks later, maybe using the long lead, so she doesnât pull. I take that to the caravan holidays and she can have a little zoomie when on the end of it. Lots of grass.
Good morning all.
It is still a hot a humid morning here. I just spoke to my daughter who is on the IOW. and there is storms there.
Before it gets too hot here I am going to get the strimmer out, and get it to do itâs thing.
I shall then take the rest of the day off.
Mmm, a day off here too methinks, the dogâs been walked and the bread is rising and no other plans apart from pottering around and warming some soup for lunch.
Dog walk done by 8, very slowly and carefully, and using her long lead. Used the TENs machine for half hour before we went, and I will keep at it during the day. Friend says she will do the 9pm walk to let me relax before my holiday, though we canât leave till about 3.45 tomorrow. Bless her, she has a full shift in the shop today, 12-7.
Well, holiday time. Yay! Lots still to do and pack. Will get off to Morrisons after breakfast and dog walk, get meals for the few days. Need to cover this because if too hot during the day then I wonât be going out with Holly, like Gt Yarmouth or Gorleston. I will take each day as it comes, though we do have the sea breeze here.
Nothing much happening here, just a trip to the tip and a couple of minor odd jobs, so I may spend an hour or two setting up my new laptop to my liking somewhere in the shade.
Good morning all.
I have joined the back ache club. Itâs not too bad, but I think it was cause by the strimming I did yesterday.
Off to Sainsburys very soon, and thatâs all for the moment, until I can think of what else need my attention.
Very hot and humid here, where is the rain that was forecast?
I was ok yesterday but did stay in for most of the day. Not quite so bad today.
Back from Morrisons, been talking to my horrible neighbours, about their new car, and holidays they are thinking of booking. Yay!!! I canât wait. Against my better judgement I told them I am away this week. Donât usually like mentioning it.
Having a cuppa and biscuit, about to do a cooked lunch, and continue to load the car.
One vehicle stops for whatever reason and the same process repeats itself.
Well, for over half a year, Iâve things on my to-do list. However, these items are things that canât be concluded or simply done (& dusted) until the fictional car at the front moves and clears the way for the flow to resume.
Due to this the frustration mounts and one gets behind in things requiring to be completed.
YayâŠraining here at the moment which the garden is desperate for, and rattling with thunder to boot. Just hoping it keeps going for an hour or two to give the ground a good soaking.
