Had the most glorious sunshine day earlier today, where daughter and I went shopping for titbits and forgot to pick up butter. Argh lol, you know you remember as you exit the bus home lol!
It was hot enough for t-shirt and jeans. Light coat tied around our waists.
The freezer’s full, so’s the fridge and cupboards. We love it!
The rest of the day disappeared in a laughter match watching various standup comedians on YouTube, catching up on the two films about Lara Croft Tomb Raider and in between that having a marvellous lunch with the bestest finger buns making Chuckwagons sandwiches for lunch with Leek and Potato Soup. Yum!
Dinner was lasagna with leftover country bread and daughter’s sensational garlic butter. Made the first pot (of many) iced tea with lemon squash due to elevated heat indoor and outdoor.
Well today I send Hollybobs off to her carer till Sunday. I shall miss her, and our cuddles, but do need the me time to get through some jobs. She is still asleep on the bed, but I will have to get her out for the toilet walk very soon, then will walk her down about 9.15.
When I get back I will have a leisurely shower and have our cafe meet at 11. When that’s finished I’d like to go off by bus to Tescos, now I have a sholley all emptied out. (One thing I did yesterday). Might have lunch out,
Later I might also get the water butt and hose down to the allotment, currently sitting inside a spare recycling bin.
Another cool day forecast, in fact with that north easterly forecast for another week at least, brrr…
Walked the hound now and having,a brew before painting the stairs and balustrade, which had started to look tatty. Not my favourite job but hey ho, needs must I guess…
Good morning all.
Cloudy, windy, and cold here. Done the first walk/stroll of the day.
Already got a bread ingredients doing it’s thing in the maker.
Nothing else yet planed for today.
I note what Supernatural says about YouTube. I also spend a lot of time watching all sorts of stuff on there.
Lol, yes it is. Decided against Tescos, but rather Gt Yarmouth. I want the Sainsburys there, amongst other shops. Might even see my sis at the store, but not sure of her shift.
I am a bit annoyed with my son Ben this morning. His car is squeaking when breaking and I said I will sort it for him. It is an easy job but takes time and care so I wanted the car here at 9am, Still waiting at 10.30am when by now have the job could be nearly done on one wheel at least. It also needs to be done when it is a dry day to remove any dust on the brake calibers and the anti squeek solution can be applied to the brake pad backing plate.
A full afternoon at GY. Tomorrow’s planned trip to Norwich has been postponed because of the train strike so we are going Thursday. I hope to get to the allotment.
Been having belly bustings laughs all day with daughter, watching the funniest comedians on YouTube.
Bill Engvall (who’s now retired)
Jeff Foxworthy
Larry The Cable Guy
It was also really hot, so the summer dresses finally came out of the closet. Daughter’s was red, Chinese style model maxi length. Mine was a purple sunset with palm trees with the added bonus of pockets.
So cross with my boiler. Phoned the plumber last night to tell him the pressure needle was very low but had been holding since he put in the sealant quite some weeks ago. He said wait a few more weeks. This morning, it goes! Had to top up, after all this time. Going to feel shame faced when I call him back later. I reckon he doesn’t want to do the job of replacing the boiler part as the next step (horrified at the thought of plan C!!!)
Good morning all.
Woke up quite early this morning, so got up at 6am. I just cannot lie in bed.
There was a bit of a drizzle when I went out, not a lot though.
I got a msg from PDSA to go pick up prescription for Minnie.
I will do this after 9 and then go to the Wednesday coffee and chat. This afternoon another Ukulele lesson at the same place.
Morning everyone, a cold and drizzly walk here too, nearly got the full winter kit on with that cold north easterly, brrr…
Just finishing off some inside decorating this morning then I’ve got to try and get to grips with getting my laptop working faster, it’s just like sludge lately and I although do live in hope, I rather think it may be terminal…
Glorious afternoon dear friends! Went shopping this morning as we’d forgot butter and tinned tomatoes. Now back home, we’ve both smacked our heads, as we realised we’d forgot the bags of mixed lettuce for weekend burritos lol!
It was warmish and partly cloudy and about 16°C with a real feel of 21°C downtown from around 10am to Noon.
Got a wee bit of retail therapy. Found two summer maxi dresses for myself, plus a lighter coat fleece in purple for myself. Daughter got one dress and a few light coats one with purple solid and a liner in jaguar spots for rain. Plus two DVDs, bonus!
Spent an hour in the sunshine blowing bubbles and enjoying sunshine on our skin. Probably by tomorrow we will have turned golden brown. Yes, we tan naturally!
Washing’s on and now watching Harry Potter Marathon on Sky.
PS having to go out to corner shop over weekend to pick up salads for Mexican dinner on Saturday night. Might make quick trip to Beach village two over, if weather still holding up…
I’ll never forget how happy I was when I saw Sue walking down the aisle towards me. My heart was beating fast and the excitement was unbearable. It seemed to take an age but eventually there she was.
I gave her a big smile and a cheeky wink then said "Get that trolley here love, there doing 3 cases of Stella for the price of 2
I keep getting posts about Friends with benefit croppin up on email spam/social sites. They must think I am superman as they come from Russia- Japan - Scandinavian etc. the only countries that are not exporting their womanfolk seem to be on the other side of the world
Been awake since 6, had my first drink n tablets and tried having a lie in for a few more moments, till I heard the kids next door. *sigh. That’s that then.
Off out for the day to Norwich with one of the cafe ladies.
Flipping cold, isn’t it? Put some heating on for a bit. I had windows and back door open for awhile yesterday while furnishings were damp from being cleaned, but maybe I should have had heating on then. Must remember to turn it off before I leave.
Cold? One of my tenants rang yesterday to cheekily ask if I supplier fans. I wont repeat my swift answer, but I doubt if they will be given the renew lease option when it’s expired. I’m surprised his wife didn’t simply nip out to town and pick one up for a reasonable price. No nouse some people
Yes, it is cold! Turned heating off now, before I go out for the day. Only taking a light jacket because I am NOT taking the heavier coat which I would end up carrying in and out of shops/on the train.
Yes cool here too, winter coat on this morning again for our walk earlier…
After a warming brew I’ll be heading off to my daughter’s to do a couple of odd jobs and I’ll call in on Mum for half an hour on the way back. Dahl and pitta bread for lunch and then, hopefully, Amazon will be delivering a new laptop for me to set up, which should easily consume the rest of the day.
Good morning all.
So I am not the only one then.
I went out with Minnie for our morning stroll without a coat. Big mistake. 1st June? More like February without the snow. But that could happen.
Since starting the Ukulele class, I have been searching for things related on YouTube. I came across the ‘Ukulele orchestra of Great Britain’.
I watched one of their performances at a festival yesterday evening. I am hooked with them.
