Good morning all.
Rain has stopped during the night, and at the moment it is starting to brighten up with patches of blue sky.
I am having a dispute with BT. At the moment as although my contract ended in March and I told them 4 times in February and March, they say that it will end next month 1st May.
Every thing has been disconnected and I cancelled the direct debit last month.
I shall have to phone them again. Why don’t they listen?
I managed to get the calpol from Boots, so have now started to give Minnie it twice a day every 12 hours. Only 1.2 mil. So that will be at 9 am and pm.
Getting the drops in her eye is the hardest bit.
Plumber has been and gone. I have a chicken casserole on the go in the slow cooker. Now waiting to see what the builders want to do re the weather.
Hope Minnie will be ok. Good luck with BT.
What really gets ujp my nose with BT is they keep advertising on TV about fibre optic broadbnd and how everyone should have it together with their new router, Our exchange is not even on the list to be upgraded for this kind of service, I checked.
Around my neck of the woods a private company is mopping up BT customers like you would not believe. A neighbour yesterday had the private company, that I have gone to, have had fibre cable prewired into their house. I change over on the 11 April for hopefully a better and faster servce.
Workers now expected at 11.15. Nice of them to let me know. They can wait for their hot drink, I shall go off to Tescos once the gate is open for them.
I can’t accept this casual attitude to customers and the Suffolk way of behaving.
Patience is running out now. They turned up while I was in Tescos. Came back when I got home. Took £100 off me for the post and other bits, that was 1.5 hrs ago. Said they’d be half hour. Had to walk Holly up and down my road for a toilet break, in case I missed them, and still need to give her a better walk, and get round to the pharmacy for my repeat meds. At what point do I scream ‘enough???’
Poor dog doesn’t know what’s going on, keeps following me to the front door when I look out.
They were hour and half before getting back here. So 2 hours in, gate lock unfinished, other bloke still drilling downwards into the ground for the post. Reckon they will still be here at dusk.
Taking Holly for a walk shortly then get some dinner on. My dinner, that is.
I’ve been with Sky for over 20+ years. Bestest move I’d ever made. Not a problem ever. Also have phone, mobile and Sky box, internet (broadband) plus their insurance service for televisions are superb.
December last my TV gave up, I just paid wee amount for an upgrade which was delivered on time and is better brand than the last. Just a fortnight before Christmas.
Only thing for now, I’d love to upgrade our one landline phone to have an answering machine and a block numbers facility but bit pricey at the moment.
Try Sky it’s entertainment for a great price!
At last the two blokes finished out in my garden. That post took a beating to get up (I remember when my nephew did my sister’s fencing, trying to break up a huge lump of concrete and he did his back in), and I now have a new post and a Yale lock in the gate.
Morning all, brilliant sunshine here, not going out today, but will sit in my front garden and talk to holiday makers.
Glad your fence is all done Janet.
Have a nice day all.
Ah yes, always the same with fence posts Jan, it’s never the new post that’s a problem, it’s getting the old bugger out!
Morning all, sunny here too after a frosty night but is warming up nicely now. Weekend Tesco shop done already and grabbing a brew before spending a couple of hours in the garden edging the lawn. Just fish for lunch then I may dig out the garden chairs and sit in the sun for awhile this afternoon whilst thinking about all the poor sods sat in traffic jams for hours trying to get to the coast.
Enjoy your day everyone
Good morning all.
Yes blue sky and sunshine here as well.
That’s a good idea Barry. I shall also try and spend time in the garden thinking and hearing the traffic if the wind in in the right direction on the A 406.
Also I shall continue to make the plots ready for the sunflower plants that I have already seeded in pots. I am also thinking about putting sone in the very large pots that are redundant in the garden.
Did I mention that there is a competition via the AgeUK for the best grown ones. (Photo evidence).
Later I shall again phone BT complaining about the £74 that they say I must pay for this month.
Morning all.
I hope to change bed linen (fighting the dog off the bed first), and maybe do some longer walks with her. As I had spent all day yesterday waiting in for the workmen, she had to make do with the garden, or very short outings.
I might pull everything out of my shed (yes it is full to bursting), to try and locate my secateurs. I mean, how can they just vanish?? It will be a good idea anyway, see what can be chucked.
Barry, I feel very lucky in that a 5-10 minute drive away I can be parking the car by the promenade for a walk by the sea, or to the park where the broads start. Susie is luckiest. A minute walk from her house and she can overlook the sea and out to Gt Yarmouth. Thinks: I wonder when the ice cream/hot donut parlours will be open? Slurp slurp.
Good morning all.
Looks like another nice day here. The field was frosty at first when I looked out of the window, but the time I went out with Minnie it had been turned to moisture.
Apart from doing my laundry, I don’t yet have any plans for today. I might just sit in the garden with my Kindle, and watch the unwanted plants die. Yes I have sprayed them with unwanted plant killer.
Morning all, thick fog here first thing but clearing now and the sun is starting to break through.
Nothing much to do here this morning, just to cook fish fingers for lunch then I’ll be visiting my daughters in the next town this afternoon.
Enjoy your day folks
Morning all.
I didn’t get up till 9. A late dose of paracetamols coupled with my antihistamine caused me to oversleep this morning.
No plans yet, will see what the weather is doing.
Did you go out today Janet.
I did go to Lowestoft, but had to come back early because my foot was killing me.
Was going to buy a pair of shorts from Peacocks, I tried them on and they looked like a sack on me.
Have a nice afternoon all.
Good afternoon everybody.
It’s a lovely sunny day. My washing is blowing in the breeeze.
Waiting for arrival of granddaughter Taylor & her boyfriend Ben…
Only to NQ retail park. Managed to get a load of flower buckets for a small sum. Brought them indoors now so I can, at some stage, drill drainage holes in the base. Need to get my drill charged. Also got some compost.
Evening all.
Didn’t buy the Shorts, I tried them on and they looked like a sack on me, they came down passed my knees and they were all baggy, they look good hanging on the peg, but not in me.
Have a nice evening.
Oh BTW, daughter and I did something out of the ordinary for ourselves lately.
Magazines used to be a regular read, some via subscriptions, others just here and there depending on the copies headline! After HRH Princess Diana died, I gave up my two subscriptions: Royalty Monthly and Majesty.
Today, we bought two. HELLO! Headline about Lady Amelia Spencer, Princess Diana’s niece. Her wedding… Another one to add to Royalty Family Tree (yes, I’m into genealogy).
OK! Has an Exclusive about Sarah, Duchess of York.
Funky bed time reading in the next few days…
