Morning all.
Emjay, maybe the franchisee pulled out, eh? I miss our little cafe in the library, which folded during the lockdown. I can go in today for a free coffee (warm room) but they only do that Mondays and Fridays. I will bus into town for the PO. If I didn’t need to send cards to the US, I could stay home!!

This afternoon I am at hospital for my assessment with cardiac rehab. Hopefully I will pass the test & be able to start a regular exercise class under their supervision.
I also need to sort a plumber out as our toilet won’t flush. I think it needs a new cistern. We are managing with buckets of water.
A more urgent thing to sort out is Tony’s teeth! Yesterday he broke his top denture in half. No point in even thinking of contacting a repair lab the denture is useless, he’s already lost 4 teeth off the plate. He needs new dentures but I can’t get a dentist to give him an immediate appointment. I’ve rang three so far & been told ‘after Christmas’
I don’t know how we’re going to get through the festive season. I had to mince his dinner up for him last night…
Blimey Carol, life is never plain sailing for you. So sorry to hear about all these problems. Hope you can get them sorted out. But goodness knows what to do about Tony and his dentures. 
Back from town. All cards posted. Quick shop in M&S and Iceland. A free coffee and chat in the library, then a 15m wait for the bus. Prepped veg to put on shortly, will wait till they are in oven to walk Holly. It’s raining atm. Argh. Coat is still wet.

Welly boots do not keep one’s feet warm. The other lined ones I have are difficult to get on what with the replacement knee.
Nothing planed for today. I have given up with the indoor bowls. It starts too early at 0900, and lately I have been not waking up that early. It would be a rush in the attempt to get there on time.
But again… Been there, done that. Next?

Seeing the nurse again this morning for a follow up after my course of antibiotics. No change in my cough so let’s see what she suggests.
Then as a road has been reopened, where the new river crossing is being built, I hope to go on to Asda. Will get a bit of shopping, then ask for the £1 soup, roll and coffee deal in the cafe.

I had a car accident yesterday - blinded by the sun I smashed into two parked cars. Luckily I got away with a nose bleed & sore ribs.
Today will be spent sorting out the insurance, courtesy car etc…
Ady will be picking us up later & taking it to where my poor car (it’s a write off) has been taken. I need to retrieve shopping, documents etc that were in the car.

Yes very cold out and rather late, as was messing about with a smoke alarm that was peeping. I have 2 and have to figure out which one it is.
Yes I also got blinded with the sun yesterday, as I pulled down the sun visor, it broke, and was dangling on the windscreen.
Luckily no accident but had to stop to sort it out.
When I got home I found that there was only 1 screw was holding it up. Where the second screw was I have no idea. I think it has been missing since I got the car,
Sorted it though, and will do further modifications later.
Not doing much today. Cleaning lady coming at 10am.
If its not one thing that gives problems it is another. This time my Epson xp-950 printer purchased in 2013 came up with the message " Ink waste tank needs replacing". What the heck is that??? so onto youtube and found out how to replace the sponges insidethe holder, next finding a supplier and it looed as if first port of call Amazon didn’t do them so found a company on ebay that did.
this is what I need to replace the sponges inside ,so won’t remove old till the new ones come so I know how /which way to fit. these are actually perished

Without it I would never known how to change the battery in my iPhone.
Oh yes it is cold and frosty again this morning.
Again I had to break the ice in the pond to be able to feed the fish.

Emjay, yep, keeping warm is what I am trying for, without putting on any heating in the day time. My last bill was atrocious.
Might stay home today. Soon I will need Pets at Home for more dog biscuits, but she has enough for now (run out of certain ones). Mind, if conditions worsen next week, should I get out now? Ooooh, decisions.

I managed to get out yesterday to the retail park, but it took a lot of car window scraping. Stocked up on dog biscuits and a few trays of food, and shopping in Morrisons and home bargains,
Foggy this morning and I’m worried about my sister, driving from here to Knebworth, to stay the weekend with her eldest daughter. Taking Christmas gifts for her family.
I’m staying home for a good few days now. Should get 2 books back to the library, as they have been reserved, but I managed to renew them for a bit longer and have tried one, discarded, and reading the other.

My daughter and family have gone to the IOW for the weekend, so I am on cat duty.
