Forecast reckons a high chance of rain from midday onwards. Wondering if I should shoot over to the allotment, take a fork with me and maybe dig a bit. I know I have to sort the payment out today, as couldnāt do it online (wouldnāt accept the reference).
Looking a miserable week, rain wise. Urgh.

Iām up & waiting for the decorators.
At last Iāve got round to putting right all the mess that dreadful plumber made me. It will be nice & tidy then for when I put it up for sale in the spring.
I donāt know what Tony & I are going to do today - 2 decorators in the house & weāre also expecting an electrician to fix us a new pully switch for the shower. Twice in a year weāve needed a new one. Canāt use the shower at all!!
I should have been going to the Thursford spectacular today with Paula but when I had my heart attack I sold my ticket to her mum. Now Paula has been taken ill with a sinus infection & neither of them are going. I think the tickets are jinxed!!

Minnie has to be taken out, I have to go to Sainsburyās for my weekly shop, and also need to make a bread.

Managed to get out last night just before 9. It was still raining slightly, with a wind, but had definitely eased off. Poor dog had to cross her legs all afternoon and evening, with just a garden visit (she was back in in seconds).
Writing group this evening, but canāt be bothered. Also need to get my black bin out this morning before cafe meet. Wish it was just out the front, like at the rental.

Like you Jan, I just canāt be bothered to go to the indoor bowls this morning. Apart that it starts at 0900, and it is a rush for me to get there on time.
Also got up late at 7.45, and so much to do first thing.
That includes taking Minnie out, which I have done. Cold out but sunny.
I am quite happy just keeping warm and reading that very long story on my kindle.
My daughter will be back from the IOW today.
Raining again this morning! Fed up of having to keep putting our coats, harness and lead on airers or rads, and having the dehumidifier going!

The knee Itās getting there Jan, thanks for asking. I do the exercises that I must do. I can now use my exercise bike but it is still a bit tight at the top of the pedal.
I can walk without the need for a stick, but at times I will take one out with me.
Sleeping better as well.

Iāll be spending the day getting straight after the decorators had been yesterday.
There were two of them. They spent 6 hours here & charged me Ā£300 to emulsion paint a few walls & pipes. Itās about the going rate Iāve been told but seems a lot to me!!
Iām not going far today as Iām expecting a call from a cardiac rehab nurse. Hopefully I will be starting on a rehab programme soon.
Iām feeling ok now. I drove a short distance the other day. Getting back to normal thank goodness.
My current household problem is a broken shower. Tony & I canāt take a shower & we have no bath to turn to so Iām having one in the kitchen in a plastic plasterers bath. Tony is going to Sues for a shower if I can persuade him. An electrician advised me to contact the manufacturers as itās under guarantee. I contacted Mira showers on face book & theyāre sending an engineer tomorrow. Iām very impressed with their serviceā¦

Carol, sorry to hear you are still having problems with that shower, but glad you are recovering well.
Carol, canāt you just have a full wash down in the bathroom sink? thatās what I have to do now, since Surgery I can no longer get into the bath, as I canāt get my leg over and I canāt have a shower because itās over the bath, so I have to wash down at the sink.
Good news to you Emay, you are getting on the mend.
I suppose I could do that Susie but I imagine rinsing ones self could be a bit of a problem.
If I were you Iād have a walk in bath installed - problem solved.

Susie, heavy rain from about 10, 11, for a few hours, then clearing. Darn it. At least dog walks should be either side of down pours.
No plans for myself, here. Donāt need shopping, canāt do allotment, yet. Another stay at home day.

Raining and only Minnie got a bit wet as we did the morning stroll.
I shall still be going to the age UK coffee and chat later. I still have umbrellas so no problem, as I can park close to the venue.
Baths and showers. I have not had a bath for about 2 years. āOh you are dirtyā you may be saying. But not got a bath, but have lots of showers.
When my wife fell out of the step in shower and bust her ankle, I had a wet room made whilst she was in hospital for the 6 weeks.
But she never used it as she was then very disabled and never went up the stairs again.

Good morning everybody. Itās another dull rainy day here.
I was up early to welcome the shower engineer from Mira showers. Heās fixing my shower as I type.
Later the decorator is calling to check on & touch up some of the pipework he painted & put my curtains back up for me.
Iām also waiting for another phone call from the nurse at cardiac rehab. Iām trying to get myself transferred from the hospital I was taken to, to one nearer.
Weāve got lots to do today putting the house straight after the decorator. He was in all four downstairs rooms so we have mess everywhere. Karen & Sue are coming tomorrow to get it straight for us but in the meantime Tony & I can do the light stuff.

Carol, fingers crossed you get the shower sorted out today!
Iām pleased to say itās mended. It was some sort of computerised board inside the shower.
The engineer called Michael was soaking wet when he arrived at my door, having had to park his van some distance away. I gave him a cup of tea & we had a chat. He fixed the shower and also fixed me a new shower head & flexible hose.
Iām very pleased with Mira for how they handled my problem.
I can now hang my plasterers bath back up in the garage.
