Ive just took out the oven a Cottage Pie i prepared last evening…that will be my dinner over the next 2 days , or it may be shared with visitors .
weather wise it looks an okay day .
I was lost for words yesterday when the Delivery man dropped the 2 Tyres at the front door , I opened the back gate and asked if he would just put them round back , his reply was" No ,im not allowed close contact ."… with that he walked off and left me to it .
My mouth was left agape, after he had gone , i spluttered a few choice words out .
I can never understand why some people are so unkind , kindness comes free.

Well the weekly laundry is in the dryer and some hung up in the conservatory.
A bread is being made.
Life is so unfair for some people.
My 22 year old grandson has been told that he might have ‘Crones’ But he is a normally a fit lad. He goes to the gym nearly every day as it is like a club where he goes, and has many mates there.
I feel so sad for him.
Nothing yet planed, but can’t do much because of my knee. I could only walk 0.04 of a mile this morning before it started to ache. And I still have to do the return bit.
@Emjay, Crohn’s disease can be caused by a number of different factors, but can include an autoimmune disorder (like my rheumatoid arthritis), genetics, or maybe stress. His fits the age group of onset of symptoms.
The guy who plays Cain in Emmerdale suffers with it, and I believe it played a part in he and his wife (who plays Rhona) taking on an allotment, for the fresh food.
There will be support out there for him, I am sure.

Plans for today may include cooking a roast meal, with Aldi pork slices. Getting out my battery jet wash and cleaning seagull muck from the car. Switching PC on and doing some writing. Sitting out in my garden with my book (neighbours permitting.) washing bed linen to then hang out.
We will see how many on this list get ticked off!!

Nothing appertaining to the unusual happening here this morning.
I have been out with Minnie and a very short walk for me. I do miss my usual stroll around the fields. Soon, maybe soon I will be able to do it again.
When my daughter came yesterday, she said that she was taking me out just to get me out of the house. She hat to go to Loughton to pick something up and then we went to Nandos for lunch.
Janet. My daughter has been doing some phone calls to the family about Crone’s, and it would seem that it is hereditary on my Wife’s side of the family.
Nothing really planed yet for today. Just do what my leg allows me to do.
I have got loads of books that I have been loading onto my Kindle, so got plenty of reading.
Also I am learning German from a ‘free’ program that I have on this iPad.

Rain forecast , its much needed .
I was taken for a drive into the Vale last evening , and a walk by side of the Canal .The grass verges are scorced dry, and There was times we had to pull over for the Combines on the way to Harvest the fields ,the narrow country lanes making it difficult to pass .
The canal we walked had very little water in ,more and more of it is drying up through leaks and dry weather,only a short part is maintained, it once was a busy canal , moving Coal, Grain and Gypsum.
Ive no plans for today , perhaps tidy the garden which as been neglected .
Tony & I never got to Belper yesterday as we had a visit in the afternoon from Ady & family.
As well as Ady & Paula there was Josh - and Taylor with her boyfriend. My house was chaotic for a couple of hours but it 's always lovely to see them. Paula brought us a lovely orange cake she’d made that morning I am very lucky to have such a lovely family…
While they were here Ady mended my hose pipe as best he could but it needs a new end fitting. Tony & I are going to Wicks at Sutton in Ashfield today to get one. After we’ve been to Wicks we’ll have a walk round Sutton lawn. It’s a beautiful park with a fishing lake.
@Emjay, similar story to my niece’s son showing signs of autism. Then a cousin of the baby’s dad admitted it was on their side of the family. He has now been formally diagnosed. She is expecting again in September, a girl, and is hoping having the baby will help Max to talk.

Why aren’t I getting any of this rain? There are very heavy clouds overhead that is heading east, so I expect it is saving the rain in them for the east coast, and the people that are on holiday there.
Right orders from my daughter for today. I have to clean the bath room and kitchen.
I do want Tescos but have decided that can wait a couple of days, at least till I’ve made inroads in the small sliced loaf I have, and the mini packs of cereals.
Today I’m taking my friend Jean to lunch at the 16th century Hardwick Inn. It’s a lovely old pub situated a mile away from Hardwick Hall.
After lunch we will have a walk round the pond where she scattered he hubby Brian’s ashes a year ago.
Sue & Karen are taking Tony to Wetherspoons for lunch & a short walk through the nearby woods.
He will like being out with his girls.

Just back from my short walk with Minnie. Again very dark clouds but no sign of any rain.
Going to Sainsbury’s shortly for my weekly visit.
I must learn to be cautious to what I click on when doing things online.
At the moment I am learning German with a ‘free’ programe called ‘Duolingo’. I had an email from my ‘PayPal’ account that £69.99 had been taken from it. WHAT! It seems that I pressed on something that I should not have,whilst in the programme. There was no warning or anything that I was being charged.
So at the moment I am claiming a refund for this with the help of PayPal.

Going early to the ‘coffee and chat’, then I have a dentist appointment at 1100, for the crown to be fitted. Now I could then go to the monthly ’Cake and company’ or back to the ‘coffee and chat’. Decisions?
