Chit Chat Thread (Part 2)

Yet another late morning from me.
Out early to do the daughters cat, then to my friend. She only lives a short distance away from my daughters place.
Came home and decided to vacuum the rooms that needed doing and the stairs.
Thoughts on what to have for lunch, and now going to catch up on my daily puzzles and see what else is going on in the world apart from Afghanistan and the bad weather in the USA.
Was starting to rain when I was coming home earlier.

Good morning all, its looks brighter this morning.
Hubby is taking me out at lunch time for dinner to save me cooking.
Poor Coco, last night we were all asleep in bed, when all of a sudden Coco jumped a foot in the air, did a backward flip, screamed and landed on 4 feet spread out legs, then looked at me as if to say, what happened there Mum! I comfort her, settled her down again, told her it was just a nightmare and we all went back to sleep again.
Have a nice day all.

Good morning all, heavy drizzle here but the dogs are looking at me demanding walkies, but I really don’t fancy it yet so may see what it’s like later on and take them then.

I have some jobs in the garden too, so hopefully the weather will improve in a bit.

That’s a strange thing with Coco, hope she’s OK this morning…

Have a good day everyone

Morning all.

Oh poor Coco! And poor Barry’s dogs, waiting for their walk, lol. Wonder if Minnie managed her walk.

Take it easy, Susie, and enjoy your lunch.

Lots for me to do today.

Dog walk. Take bin out into alley for today’s collection. Breakfast. Load car. To the tip for my 1.30 booked slot. To nearby Morrisons for provisions, and the Range if time. Around 5 someone is expected to call round and inspect the damp problem in my front room. Then at 6.30 I will go across the road to collect my pie, mash and liquor supper, made by the cafe owner’s husband. She was talking in the cafe recently about evening plans, and mentioned that meal. I’ve interrupted with cries of ‘pie and mash???!! How, what?’ And she said her husband makes it all and sells. A few minutes later she brought him over to me with the introduction so I ordered it for this evening. Can’t wait.

Laters.

That is good to hear Susie!

@Jazzi sounds like another busy day Jan! You certainly are a dynamo, makes me tired just reading your post!

Good morning all l
Not so late today. Minnie already has been out around the field, been to sort out daughters cat, been to Sainsbury’s for my weekly shop, unpacked. Now having a coffee.
Friend will be coming here later and she phones me when on the bus, and I will go meet her.
Lunch at Sainsbury’s.

I tire myself out, Barry!

Forgot, I need to get to Currys for my indoor cam (to keep an eye on Holly when I’m out). Arrived a day earlier than expected. Could have gone yesterday but the car is right outside and I need it close by to load stuff for the tip.

So I will forget the bigger Morrisons, and The Range, and come back over the bridge to the retail park near me, for Morrisons and Currys.

Right. Speak to you all later.

Good morning all, its dull and miserable outside.
Got a Decorator coming at 8.30am this morning and tomorrow.
Woke up in terrible pain this morning, all my Groin and Hip.
Have a nice day all.

Good morning all from me.
Not yet done my daughters cat but will go shortly to do that.
She is coming home today, so that chore will be ended for another couple of weeks.
I have to go to the chemist to get a med that they missed out last week when I collected the others. I am not sure what time they open.
I expect maybe 0830 or 0900.
Cloudy here and cold.

Morning all.

A phone call to make this morning, then out to a pub lunch with one of the coffee group friends. I now have the indoor cam set up so I can watch Holly, make sure she is quiet and ok.

Sorry to hear Susie is still in pain.

Morning folks, once again overcast and cool here but it’s dry at least…

Just finished clipping the dogs and now having a brew before deciding what’s next, but at some point they will demand to be walked I guess, and there’s always the garden…

Sending hugs again Susie, just wish they were helping more… :disappointed_relieved:

Have a pleasant day everyone.

Phoned car repairers, I can take it in tomorrow for an assessment. @Barry they will give me a quote. But I phoned my insurers, told them if the incident, and was told I can have two strikes. My protection will stay at 23 years but goodness knows what renewal in January will be.

So after tomorrow I will make a decision. Pay for damage myself, or go through insurance (another £410 excess). Repairs to existing claim is just under £1,000.

Oh, and I have no hot water. Tried doing the valves myself for the pressure but one won’t move. Had to call the plumber and he will be here at 7.30am. He just said many boilers have at least one stiff valve. *sigh. So no cleansing of oneself till tomorrow morning. It was running the shower to get hot this morning that alerted me.

Did enjoy my lunch.

My Husband says Pay for it yourself Janet if you can afford it.

@Jazzi Hope you will ask the plumber to free it off while he’s there, adjusting the pressure with the water inlet valves really should be easy enough for the householder to manage.

Not sure about the insurance, companies vary so much. Rosemary wrote off our Peugeot around three years ago, and in spite of it costing the insurers over eleven grand the premium only went up around twelve quid the following renewal!

Glad you enjoyed the pub lunch, always makes a change to eat out.

Morning all.

Well having got up at 6.45, he is a no show atm. Will give him till 8.30 then call. Argh!!! Had to take H outside for her toilet, so no proper walk yet.

Why do these bar stewards say one thing, then leave you waiting?

Plumbers are notorious for it I’m afraid, the worst of them all… :rage:

Morning all, flying for an hour for me today as a birthday gift and the weather is perfect, can’t wait…

Have a pleasant day everyone

What a nice gift Barry!

Take a parachute though, just in case they have accidentally booked your flight in a hot air balloon!
