Can You Solve This Mystery For Me?

Well, if they’ve had a nappy in their mouth there might be “residue” on their lips … :lips:

Foxes like the smell of soiled nappies, so it could have been a Fox.that left it there.

Bratti, l don’t know what a realtor is? I haven’t fallen out with anyone, so l am very mystified as to why the nappies were on my lawn this morning.
It must be animal related?
I wish l had one of those infra red cameras. It would be so good to watch the antics of animals in the night.

Maybe the items were part of camper’s backpack that got ransacked.

(I don’t know the word for backpack that you all use.)

Butterscotch, Are you saying, they were adult nappies?
Oh, no please don’t tell me that…Eeek

Haha. No, I just meant that campers might have been taking their kids on a hike and the foxes got into their bag.

Kids? These were baby’s nappies.
Maybe the hikers kept the babies in the bag… and the Fox ate the babies but not the nappies?!

That sounds like a possibility! I used to feed the foxes that came to my garden with left over cat food. I always put the food into unwanted plastic containers & quite often they would ear the food & then play with the containers… which they left on the fields that surround my house. I had to retrieve & wash for the next time they were fed!

As Captain Mainwaring would say “I think you’re entering the realms of fantasy there” …

They’re too small for adults - for comparison, astronaut diapers:

@Artangel Do you sleepwalk? And have you had any weird dreams lately.

Just wondering if your recent trip to RHS Tatton Park might have planted (pun intended) the word “nursery” in your head, and you sleptwalked your way and borrowed a couple of babies for an hour or so.

It was a harmless joke which I knew you could handle so I could question your response in the same manner. I wasn’t concluding anything. That’s was your interpretation.

Apologies if I misplaced the quote - I was trying to reply to Artangel’s “Maybe the hikers kept the babies in the bag… and the Fox ate the babies but not the nappies?!”

Oh! Language barrier.
A realtor over her is a person who shows and sells houses.
Maybe it was stuff in a bag and a wild animal opened the bag up dumped the nappies out and left. I don’t know but your property is beautiful.
I like large open spaces.

Join the club. We’re all speaking English, but are we? I wonder if there are more words in common with the US/Canada than the US/UK.

If it wasn’t a fox, could it have been a couple of gulls from a nearby landfill?
