I have had these for longer than I can remember and never used on the project I got them for.
So having nothing to do this evening etc etc. Put the16mm one on the 100-300 lens (panasonic G9 camera) and took this
So now my mind is thinking about photographing bugs at a distance so as not to disturb, against getting a proper macro lens which possibly would get too close. If that makes any sense
I have a set of 12, 20 & 36mm rings which I used to use a lot when I had my first ‘real’ camera and I remember buying a set of magnifying filters, which was an alternative, but the optical quality wasn’t great, so I rarely used them. To be honest, these were gimmicks to play with as I was messing around trying stuff out.
Today, I use a professional macro prime lens which lets me get as close to anything I need to and produces high quality images. Extremely expensive, but I had the chance to buy one on discount and couldn’t resist getting one.
