Boris Johnson: Former prime minister to host GB News show

I’d be happy if I didn’t see either of them ever again Annie :+1:

Great news!

For those making snide remarks about GB News have you actually ever watched it? There are loads of Labour supporters on there. Journalists, ex Tony Blair advisor, trade unionists. Everyone gets a fair chance to have their say.

Most of the evening shows have a panel and they always include Labour supporters. It’s a refreshing change from other channels.

Better to listen to the lovely voice of Neil Oliver :slightly_smiling_face:

He has some very strong opinions and his monologues are always interesting.

Yes, of course I have.
Why would you suppose someone who criticised GB News had never watched it?
A bizarre assumption, I think.
How could I have an opinion on it if had never watched it?

There are some very good news reports that nobody else will touch. I’m looking forward to hearing what Boris has to say because the gloves are off now and I hope to see the real Boris and not someone following WEF, WHO and IMF instructions…

It will be good to hear from a Party Animal

Take the gloves off and there will be the same self centred windbag underneath.

Doesn’t say much for his character if he’s so easily influenced :grinning:

He’s too lazy and indisciplined ,and he’ll be sacked after a few months anyway.

I’ve just had a thought.Churchill is his big hero …and he made a famous return to take over the leadership of the Tories.???

… or rogues gallery … :face_with_monocle:

In August 2022, Arlene Foster endorsed Liz Truss in the Conservative Party leadership election as the best potential Prime Minister to counter “threats to the Union”.

In 2014, the Daily Mail had to pay damages to Kirsten Farage after Andrew Pierce falsely claimed in a column that she had been a mistress of Nigel Farage, then the leader of UKIP, while he was still married to his first wife. In May 2018, the Daily Mail paid £11,000 towards the legal costs of the writer Kate Maltby after the publication of an article by Pierce about the claims of sexual harassment Maltby made against the politician Damian Green. The article was removed from the Mail’s website without the publication having made an admission of fault.

Two copybooks blotted.

I used to watch it on a fairly regular basis when it was first launched. Slowly but surely I lost interest, I suppose it just didn’t resonate with me.
The last time I watched it was simply because there was a rather becoming lady presenter , can’t remember her name but she had quite a strong northern accent… she resonated with me :+1:

After a spectacular early “rise through the ranks”, Michelle’s career seems to have faltered and she appears to have settled for mediocrity.

I watch/listen to GB News a fair bit but lately, also go to TalkTV (one channel above). I quite like to listen to discussions on both. I say listen because I don’t sleep well and both are on digital radio during the night. Listened to using an earphone.

GB News evening programmes are repeated from midnight until 6 a.m. but TalkTV on the radio seems only to discuss sport between those times. Therefore not listened to so much. For left wing views and discussion, I’ll go to Novara Media (YouTube) for a while.

I’m not a particularly political person and prefer not to enter discussions to a great degree but what with the above and the mainstream News, I hope to be fairly well informed.

If you borrow loads of money from a building society etc to buy a house Mr Smith, I think that the building society will have some say in how you look after your property and their investment… During the time that I was paying a mortgage to the Halifax, they sent out a surveyor a couple of times to make sure I was maintaining it and keeping it in good condition.
We are vastly in debt to the IMF etc, so wouldn’t you assume that they want to make sure their investment is safe. Hence the sacking of Kwasi and Truss and replace them with a safe pair of hands like Sunak and Hunt even though the tory party didn’t vote for either of them.
Ultimately, they take their orders from a much higher power than the present government.
