Booster, are you up for it?

Freedom of choice Ted…If you’ve been jabbed why worry?

Yes! Some of us actually consider the safety of others. It’s not all about us as an individual. It’s a pandemic. It needs everyone to do their part and man - up.

Did you have the flu jab every year Bratti?

Personally I put myself and family first.I don’t owe anyone else anything. We are doing everything to protect ourselves,if that benefits others all well and good but it’s not the main objective.

Correct, at the height of the Pandemic, we did not need a biased TV newsreel to observe the none distancing, none mask wearing fraternity, why would you risk jabbing yourself to protect them?

Maybe we’ll son be able to trace who we caught it off.

Then we could sue the spreaders.

The Lawyers would love it!

OGF,

Trouble is that the vaccine is only effective for, about, 90% of those walking by.

That means 10% can be spreading.

That’s not counting all those who don’t get jabbed.

Aside from that, the DT is telling us, today, that stats, for US veterans, are not showing the vax to be is good as they thought it was…by a long way.!

But a survey of over 65s (which that is) may not be representative!

Hi

I am surprised by some of the answers on this thread.

Stopping the virus spreading is essential to protect your own health, simply because the more there is in the population the more you and your family are at risk.

Yes myself snd my family come first which is why we were vaccinated. In protecting ourselves, we also help to protect others.

What if there is a Glitch?

Mups I know you were poorly with your second jab so was I…I decided to have the booster it was Pfizer not the Astra Zeneca one I was poorly with and apart from feeling a bit off it with flu like symptoms for a few days I was OK.

I had it because I was so concerned not to get the virus having seen the possible consequences of it. I understand your fears though.

The ruddy NHS doesn’t know its arse from it’s elbow. We were supposed to have our booster this afternoon at the local Memorial Hospital ( less that 2 miles away) as the previous two were at the same venue. Just taken a call from a ‘hub’ somewhere cancelling the local vaccination centre and moving both of us almost 40 miles away to our east. Not a chance sonny Jim, so the caller was perplexed and could not offer any other venue. Local would have been fine, so right now we’ll just have to remain non boosted :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Got my booster booked for the 25th of this month.

Good news Caricature! :grinning:

Thankyou Summer.
From what I have heard, there seems to be less side affects with the Pfizer but I was never offered that one. Glad you are feeling better now.

Sad news, that this is necessary. :icon_sad:

I’m really poorly since my booster last Saturday, I’ve got progressively worse over the week and now have a dreadful cough and the cough has gone to my chest today. I’m ringing the doctor tomorrow.
I have slept a worrying amount of hours but I guess my body is trying to recover and they say sleep is the best thing. Yesterday afternoon I slept 5 hours??? couldn’t believe it and today I’ve slept on an off all day.

I don’t know if I have had a reaction to the booster or it is just coincidence, perhaps I was harbouring a cold that I didn’t know about when I went for my booster, who knows.

I’ll be glad when I am better, it’s not like me to take time off work so I must be ill!
