Booster, are you up for it?

Nice one, Ted, and I’m ashamed to say I completely missed it. Well spotted. :slightly_smiling_face:

10:38 I’m feeling a bit off colour, but nothing too bad.

I would describe my condition as slightly uncomfortable, but stable.

:face_with_thermometer:

Hope you’ll feel better soon @Harbal.

When I had my reaction to the jabs it lasted for 2 days followed by weakness for a few days after.

After my first I felt quite ill for almost a week. The second one made me a bit sniffly for a couple of days. This last one can’t seem to make up its mind what to do with me. :102:

Hopefully your third jab won’t be so bad :crossed_fingers:

I had my third yesterday, Mags, and I’m still waiting for the effect.

It’s a wonder Boris hasn’t thought of making a few bob and charging for the jabs…
:moneybag:

I am going for mine on the 4th Nov but this time I think it will be the Pfizer. I am sure I will be fine but I am praying for heavy rain so I don’t have to spend the night comforting my cats who are terrified of fireworks!

No coronavirus booster vaccination date for me yet, a couple of weeks to go. However, I have had the annual 'flu jab at a local pharmacy and was checking to see where locally the coronavirus booster was being done and found this link below. Some Boots it seems are doing both, in view of the difficulties some are having in finding locations for this I have posted this link which some may find useful:

I had my booster a couple of weeks ago in the local walk in centre down the road.

My first jabs were AstraZeneca and this last one was Pfizer .

The first jabs were fine with nothing iffy after the jabs but this last one caused a bit of a reaction.

Two days after the jab I started itching. And prickling. And more itching and tingling under the skin, all over, and even in my mouth , 24 hours a day which was annoying.
It made it hard to sleep and it lasted about a week then just faded away.

Don’t know if anyone else has had that.
In the past I have been prone to eczema. Must have been something in the dose that I was a bit allergic to.

Must ask the other half who is in the trade, with everyone and their cat administering the jabs, who is updating individuals medical records to reflect the treatment, and, how does the individual know this has happened, let ya know later.

Just asked, its all in the NHS Number apparently.

A little bit of what you fancy is good for you, so they reckon. Well then, a lot of something that you fancy is all the better for you, right? Stuff yourself stupid then. Why not?

I haven’t been following this thread, but where i went to to have the vaccine it is now open for walk in appointment for the booster and it starts on Friday. It’s not every day just 3 days a week, hubby is going to have a look. It’s run by one of the pharmacies around here and in one of their warehouses and not far away.

Our son who lives in Worcester had to go to Malvern to have his first one and the second one had in Worcester town, so hopefully he can have it in the town.

Hi
The hospital I am in has problems with COVID at present I and they have had to close CCU

Many admissions are already double vaccinated , so they are recommending boosters for all.

Despite several announcements saying our local centre will be open for
boosters on certain days , they have only been able to open on
the first announced day ?? All the other dates have been cancelled
For instance yesterday at mid day l was informed that they would
be open today, so l booked the taxi , however, at 5-30 my local
MP E mailed me with the news that they had cancelled this
this arrangement due to staffing problems ??
My wife and l are now 5 weeks overdue for our boosters !!
Is this situation peculiar to Melton Mowbray ??
I have posted on this subject several times allready and also
have contacted my MP and now also the local press who have
both responded with information, but even this info has now
been cancelled at the last minute ??
Must l now join Facebook in order to get accurate updates?

I don’t understand this at all now…(Swimmy, so sorry to hear you are back in hospital, but I read you are getting home today? :hugs: ) Anyway, so…people are getting double vaccinations, yet carry and pass on the virus and still end up in hospital taking up precious beds? Not to sound like an anti-vaxxer at all, but it seems to be a bit ineffective doesn’t it?

This is for Wales but I’m sure that the same conclusions would apply UK-wide:
