… I thought you were going to say you stepped on the little frog Bob!
Awwwww Mags… I’d have been gutted If I’d have accidentally done that…
Yes Foxy, I have been waiting for this turn in the climate, all being good, I can continue bite free.
Although I love the Autumn and don’t mind the winter, it’s sad to say goodbye to the summer and the warmer weather when I can sit out in the sun and doss about in my shorts all day.
The neighbours think I’m quite odd sitting out in my shorts and tee shirt in the winter…
Thursday started very dark this morning, so dark, that in future I’m going to have to set off a bit later for my runs. It also started cold, so for the first time this year I had to root out my warm running top. something that’s usually reserved for December!
I managed to get five miles round my six mile road route before the rain came down. I did witness the most beautiful sunrise though as it crept above the horizon and disappeared into the low clouds. I didn’t realise just how many red’s there were…:surprised:
Another poor time though, and it felt like I was running the last six miles of my worst marathon. Come to think about it, I don’t think there was a worst marathon!..
I had an enjoyable, but steady eight mile run on sunday…
And this was followed by a 7.6 mile walk yesterday…
The distance can be read in the bottom right corner of my GPS.
So it was another steady five miles this morning with yesterday’s walk still in my legs. Nice run though, but I always enjoy running out in the country at this time of year.
So as September comes to a close (rest day tomorrow) my yearly mileage stands at 813.2 with three months left…It looks like I should be able to break the thousand mile target again this year.
A noticeable drop in performance again this year, and even my watch is feeling the pressure. Strap has almost bust!
This will be my last report for a while, but rest assured that running will continue like clockwork, and should anything noteworthy happen, you will find it in Bob’s Bits…
Will look forward to your next report, Bob.
Hope you reach your target by the end of the year.
Thanks Mags, I will ‘Bob in’ from time to time…
29763 paces today Foxy just less than the 30000 target, maybe I’ll do the couple of hundred up and down the stairs, just for the say so.
Sixteen miles.
Awesome Spitty…
No aches or pains yet, do knees have an limit to movement?
Exactly 48 years ago yesterday I was visiting our local church on a frosty and foggy morning doing this…
And yesterday I was doing this with that same Mrs Fox…
Congratulations to you and your wife Bob, not long now to your Golden Wedding Anniversary.
Thanks Mags, I can’t remember what I did yesterday, but I can remember every detail about our wedding day…
Even where we keep the photos…
An update from our local constabulary…Enjoy…
Was doing some paces here this morning, thought I might have spotted you Foxy.

Had my first McDonald’s of the year yesterday, had a BigMac, Fillet ‘o’ Fish, Chicken Mayo. and half a portion of Large Fries, 1200 calories in one meal. Tonight is takeaway Biriyani Night so, today will be a minimum 30000 pace day, can’t have those Kilos sneaking in.
Its an 8000 pace per hour day today, so, only 2.5 hours to go.
Awesome exercise Spitty, I don’t think I could manage the mileages that you are knocking out…
Love the name of that road/street/cul-de-sac…As it happens…The name of our road is Meadow Rise…How cool is that…
Mrs Fox was feeling a bit feverish on Thursday, after feeling worse on Friday I performed a home Rapid lateral Flow Test on us both. I was negative, but Mrs Fox tested positive for Covid19…
I telephoned the appropriate test results team at the NHS and an appointment was made for a PCR test this morning…I have just received the results by email, and it came back positive.
I’m feeling quite wobbly myself tonight so I’m off to bed with a hot lemon. goodnight all…
