Betting Odds On The Next Tory Leader

I dislike her on both counts, since you ask.

I also dislike Suella Braverman…a bit too right wing for me.

I’d like someone a bit more down to earth…

Kathy Burke? :joy:

Kathy Burke is already on the opposition benches in the guise of Angela Rayner/Waynetta Slob.

Wasn’t she in Dallas?
Big shoulders, you remember!

Some people are still betting on Ben Wallace - perhaps they’re “in the know” … :047:

I’m hoping it will be Jeremy Hunt. He may be annoying but he is the only real politician amongst the lot. I have been impressed with his handling of health select committees.

Quite … :+1:

BJ is his own best friend and his own worst enemy.

Somebody already knows who the next leader will be despite all the window dressing. They knew before they set Boris up…

Some things have too many unpredictable variables to be controled. I don’t doubt that there is sinister intent all over the place, but successfully carrying it out is another matter.

Exactly Harbal, that’s how they can get away with it…

Not on my watch, Foxy. :018:

Liz Truss - “mad, bad and dangerous to know” according to a report I read this morning in today’s MoS.

agree what a creep.

Well, I don’t know about that but I think they bought off Wallace because he was popular with the party members and might have been a threat to whoever they’ve really got lined up for the job

I expect they promised he could keep his current job and they couldn’t have guaranteed that if they didn’t have a good idea who was going to get in, could they?

There really NEEDS to be a General Election.

I think they are panicking about that possibility…Labour are looking more favourable in the eyes of the public and the Cons are freaking out about it :joy:

The very thought of a GE makes me very very nervous.
I think most people haven’t a clue where their allegiance lies these days

Hi

The way we choose our leaders is weird.

The final decision is down to the 100,000 of the Party Members who bother to vote.

That is not very Democratic.

I am not a Member of any Political Party, so will have no say at all.

Hi

Lord Frost?

You must be joking.

Yes, he got Brexit done, but only by giving in to the EU on just about everything.

I’m betting the next PM will be some young spunk and a member of the World Economic Forum.
