Another firm believer taking action!
It usually is just that sort of person, Baz!
Yes, and unfortunately there are a lot of them about too!

Fair enough, some people do overdo it a bit with the bad language, and it can be grating to hear, but itās hardly a major issue. I mean itās not like violence, is it? Letās keep a sense of proportion.
I grew up in a house where Dad swore like a sailor, and Mom never once. Me Iām in the middle, Iām not above it, nor is it my norm.

I have to differ with you on this as it would be a āmajor issueā if trying to bring children up not to use bad language. Today itās everywhere and used in general conversation where it never used to be. Even though I have worked in factories I find the bad language not only offensive but totally unnecessary.

I guess we all have our pet hates, Baz.

It is a form of abuse - and I will not tolerate it from anyone.

It could be called verbal abuse if it is directed at you offensively, otherwise it is just something that you donāt happen to like. You are perfectly entitled to banish someone from your home for using bad language, but that is no more justifiable than my ejecting them from mine for wearing red socks, for example. What we do in our own home is one thing, but we should think twice before we take our petty predudices out into the world and expect others to conform to them.
Thatās only the way I see it, of course.
I say āOh Knickersā quite a lot, but thatās not bad language or swearing.

Well if you said it in my home, Pesta, I certainly wouldnāt throw you out for it.

Pet hates to some yes but as well as that these are also āstandards of acceptable behaviourā
to others, myself included in that.
But why is there a need to keep on about the same strict views like it is a religionā¦said once , would think that is enough.
We are all different and come from different backgrounds so yes we all will have different viewsā¦
ā¦Never any swearing in my home that I ever heard ofā¦ Abuse 100%ā¦
ā¦School was quite the reverse. It really does not bother me the amount I hear unless it is meant directed at us in a aggressive way
Just my view thenā¦
Well if you said it in my home, Pesta, I certainly wouldnāt throw you out for it.
Good, 'cos Iād smack you in the gob if you did
as in aggro or friendly?whoops forgot the lolā¦
But why is there a need to keep on about the same strict views like it is a religionā¦said once, would think that is enough.
Possibly because itās something like religion in that itās something
a person believes in so has strict views (opinions) on it?
āFriendlyā - whatās that?
I see your name and thinkā¦Hello Pasta.no idea whyā¦lol
Youāre not alone Dianeā¦ You go ahead and call me Pasta if you want - I answer to anything anyway
Pasta always makes me think of Basil.

I cant read the name Basil without thinking Brush or Fawlty ā¦ boom boom!!
