Patsy… YOU have got to understand that people that have had the experiences we have through no fault of our own are pretty sensitive. People married multiple times tend to be looked down on… and to be left off a list of people that take marriage vows seriously… ESPECIALLY since you and I butted heads in this thread seemed intentional…So I’m sure you didn’t just NOT think of me… If it wasn’t I apologize, but it just hit me wrong.

Me too Patsy… All and all this has been a pretty exasperating week on this forum… with this thread and the UJ ebola fiasco… and even the infidelity thread… I’m taking a break… I need to get away. Im starting to take this place far to seriously.

I’ll finish off, again, by saying I think we all need to remember that no one knows what is in front of us and we can never condemn or judge anyone elses relationship. People are quick to slag off people who have had failed relationships. Lucky them who haven’t had the heartbreak of that. I hope they never have.

None of us are through the world yet.

Edit: just like I couldn’t sit here today and say I’ll never take drugs, live on the street, become an alcoholic. I just don’t know whats round the corner…Never say Never.

MM, if only you knew, its someone like you who I admire. A long married relationship where you obviously love your partner to bits.

I’d love to have a poll of married couples who did not venture outside the wedded vows. Even I know people who like to have a wee fling now and then. Sad.

Just for the record - if that poll is continued - add me to it too! I’ve only been married once and I was 100% faithful…which didn’t stop him from finding a nurse on a dating site after being married for 33 years! So being faithful really didn’t do me any favours and I may have been much better off finding someone else years and years ago!

I never adopted a holier than though attitude when I was married, even after all those years. Sometimes those who protest too much are maybe not quite as happy as they make out they are? We will never know.
