At What Age Do You Start Feeling 'Old'? And Does that Feeling Affect Who You Are?

What a welcome I received from that Buzz 50 gang! Two weeks of special days with special people laughing and enjoying time spent together! The best of the best!

Sure, we are older now (back on topic) but that doesn’t change who we are underneath.

I have just realised you called me Grace, which is my name. 10 out of 10 for you there.

I only feel old when my knees remind me, the rest of me still thinks I’m 25! Age really is just a number

Convenient when 87. Just reverse it. i.e., too 78 for comfort.
The prob is at 88. Even worse at 89.
“Trumped”

My knees tell me I am older than I like to think, plus wearing a skirt or dress makes them feel very cold a lot of the time.

I have not worn a dress since a panto many years ago

Same for me when I wore the kilt…

Convenient is a good word for it, sometimes feeling old just means we finally have the excuse to slow down and take life at our own pace.

Ah yes, the knees, they’re always the first to tell the truth, even when the rest of us still feel young at heart!

I only feel old when My three ‘Children’ complain to me about Their wrinkles/grey hair/ and arthritic joints :grimacing:…But when They’re not around I’m just a young carefree Lass,

The feeling that being old affects me most is when someone asks me how old I am!
If I didn’t have to put an actual number to the answer, I’d be just fine.
Hmmm, maybe I could say, “in my seventies”…
And then…when that same person says, “Oh, you certainly don’t look or act like it!” Well, reality hits me smack in the face!

Do you know that just about sums it up! Ageing, attitudes and how you feel can’t simply be calculated, defined and neatly tucked away in a little box. Life is far more nuanced than that, hope that makes sense…sort of :+1:

When people stopped making sense.

does sense matter any more
