Apologistic!

Try putting a price of stiff card into your spokes so that it
rattles as your wheels rotate Spitty !!
We used to do that to our bikes when we were snotties !!

Many a true word is spoken in jest

Simplicity at its best.

Would on one of my pedalpower only bikes, but, to announce your arrival on one decked out with electrical stuff might not be a wise thing to do. :biking_man: :policeman:

For spotting read targeting, get more than five and you win a cuddly toy!
:grinning:

DM I will dig one of these out tomorrow and make a note of the reaction to the card.

No Baz, I need the miseries so I know I’m happy. :grinning: :heavy_check_mark: :biking_man:

I shall make it my mission today to smile at every cyclist passing

Only at the considerate happy smiling ones. :biking_man:

Oh I see now, those are your ‘happy’ tactics are they?
Now I get it completely!

We often apologise, and rightly so…. It’s our Dog fault, she’s not very sociable with other Dogs or most things on four legs, but people she’s absolutely fine with.

She is always on a lead when taken out, The problem is other dog owners, who despite a yellow bandana or verbal warning allow their Dog that’s not on a lead to invade our girls space.

The result our girl goes for them, the dog then goes for our girl… we always try to get between or pick ours up….have even been bitten a few times by the other dog

And still we apologise ……. Not always mind

Pedestrians and cyclists sharing the same pathway is not a great idea, especially when the cyclists travel faster than the permitted 5 MPH

@spitfire , You must stop worrying about an adverse reaction
Spitty, just get out there and test the water !!
You may be surprised :roll_eyes::roll_eyes:
You can always change to an ice cream vans “music” if need

We have a cycle path opposite my house, there are two lanes, one for pedestrians and one for cyclists, with a white line down the middle

For the most part they share it OK but some doggy owners stand in groups in the middle of the pedestrian bit to chat, meaning that people wanting to go past them either have to walk onto the muddy grass or step into the cycle lane
And then they have their dogs on those long extendable leads and let the dog wander over the cycle lane bit, with the lead stretched across the cycle lane, ready to unseat some poor cyclist, the perfect booby trap!

There was some terrible swearing about it yesterday from a cyclist who nearly came a cropper, enough to make even me blush :hugs:

I didn’t hear any apologies from the doggy owner ….

We have a pathway about 800m long, which we walk the Dog down, its used as a short cut by most locals.

This pathway is at best 1m wide with overgrown weeds a nettles on each side.

Now our neighbour who is blind, also walks this path with her guide Dog, a few times we been 600m down the path with our girl, when our neighbour appears with guide dog walking towards us…at about 5m apart, our girl kicks off, me I’m dragging our girl into to stinggies, continuously apologising, with the guide dog calmly stopping totally ignoring our girl with our neighbour calmly saying hello how are you today, whilst laughing at girl for being silly, reaching out her hand as if to smooth our girl.

When this happens I must spend 10 minutes saying sorry
