Yes if you want to immerse it and leave it to drain before replacing it on the tray that would be ok . The soil it’s in should be free draining but if it remains wet for a day or two only reimmerse it once it starts to dry out a bit but not completely dry…
Wiring is a personal thing it has to please your eye but these small trees tend to just need keeping in shape. Any branch that grows inward should be encouraged to how outwards or be cut off
