Anybody work around here?

Not being funny but where is the WORK forum? It’s over fifties isn’t it (not over 70s?).
I have joined this forum as I’m totally fed up with feeling ancient at work since most of my colleagues are in their 30s.
What happened to everyone my age? I’m lonely and fed up in that bloody office.

Hello CurrantBun  a warm welcome to Over50sForum…

I work, both voluntary and online.
WORK forum??? nah we have none of that.

welcome from me too.
I am in my seventies but I still do a bit of consultancy in my field.
I also walk quite a lot with my big fuzzy pal, a collie.

Work?:102:

Welcome anyway!

Work, of course, it’s been a big part of Human History, a barter extension of survival, but that isn’t obvious anymore.

Some of us still have to get up and go to work:088:

Hi there.
All part of life isn’t it, working? Pays the bills, runs the car, gets you a beer. Your age? What is that then? I’m 53. Am I your age?
I am fed up with work too but it’s gotta be done hasn’t it, unless you’re very ill, very wealthy or a benefits scrounger.

What do you mean by the WORK forum though? This is a conversation forum. We talk about work a bit, but not all the time - thought you hated work anyway.

Welcome from me

Hello from another worker

Hello from me, a fed up of working worker who wants to win the lotto so I can retire early!

Welcome, I don’t work anymore.;-). I think if you are looking for a work forum, you will have to google employment forums.

Hello CurrantBun (great name!) , this lot are so slow!
Surely you mean a designated Work Section to add to the list on the front page?
There’s lots of workers here, full time and part-time.
It’s a great idea!
You listening Azz?

Hello Christine  welcome…

There is an interface problem, just like legitimately going into a Pub on your 18th birthday. if you enter this site aged fifty, you are staring at, at least fifteen more working years, which can go against the grain, not sure what the solution is.

It’s the last thing I want to talk about. It’s one of the reasons I’m on the forum - to take my mind off it!

Only fools and horses work . . .

Work??? Did I hear you say WORK??? That is a four letter word, not used on this site !!! Check out my profile page, and you’ll see me sitting (laying) in my chair being busy.

By the way, Christine darlin’ - welcome to the forum.

I decided to give up work years ago and have never regretted it.

Worked all my life since I was 15 years old and stopped at the age of 69. Why should i want to work any more when retirement is so much better. Got no one to answer to except Sue commonly called “er indoors”.
If your fed up with office life why not try running your own business with the skills you have gained already? money earned into your pocket not someone elses

Another retired member here (this year) did my time working and miss certain aspects of it like banter, and the more creative aspects of my work.

Glad im retired now, no pressure, doing what i want, rather than what im told told to do.
