Poor old Ned Kelly’s on the back burner. I bought this one on audible a while back now. I’m in the mood for a sedan chair trip or two through Georgian London.
An enjoyable listen so far, for anyone that grew up and worked in London an absolute must!
I’m not suggesting that I grew up in Georgian times I hasten to add !
I’ve recently discovered the joys of audiobooks, I borrow books from Libby, return them after a page or two if the narrator doesn’t hold my attention. But some are good:
Genre Satire Read by Rory Kinnear, great actor.
Genre Parody Read by Linda Hamilton. Perfect for the part, as an ex drinker, heavy smoking American cop.
Yes i have listened to their books for a few years now. Its good to listen to sample first as the storyline maybe good but take into account the voice of narrator sometimes may be to your liking. So listening to sample is a great way of solving same.
Well worth try the free sample.
Enjoy
That’s so true what you say about the voice of the narrator Mags. I’ve listened to one or two samples of books that I’ve been interested in and the voice thing just wasn’t going to work for me. There was nothing essentially wrong with them, it just wasn’t going to click!
