I shall have to look a bit deeper into those gadgets (especially the Switchbot), when I’ve got a few bob to spare. The gadgets are reasonably priced too which is good news for a Yorkshireman. :wink:

I never thought I would ever have one of these but at my age plus the Arthritis and Osteoporosis crippling me up plus causing finger spasms I found I could not use my hubbys old cassette player because it was too fiddling.Now its SO simple now to ask Alexa to play my big band music. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hi

Since I have become ill, I have them all over the house.

Echo show in the kitchen, use it for music and recipes.

Echo Show and Google Nest in the lounge, a round echo dot in the conservatory.

Echo Show and Google Nest in the main bedroom.

Blink cameras and Ring doorbells, smart bulbs and sockets.

It suits me.

We have Amazon Prime with Alexa, can get any music with it. I can get all the Carpenters songs and make play lists of any music.

We have smart bulbs and plugs. Hubby does all the routines with Alex and he’s changed the wake up name to Computer. Can do timers and reminders.
