The only thing that surprises me is that I am still hanging on.
Like all around at that time, no phones in the home was the norm.
We had one Phone Box just around the corner…Early ones you put your coins in and if the call failed, they came out again…
Yes press button B and get your money back. I remember them well.
A lot of deception happened in a phone box.
It should not have been so.
I remember those red phone boxes too, Chilli.
Press button A to talk, or button B to get your money back if there was no answer.
Whoops, sorry Scot, didnt see you had already said that.
Yes, age…
My field was/is industrial power electronics. The changes he been huge within my lifetime. Calculations were long hand on paper. The heavy stuff was on a slide rule. I had a secretary for formal documentations and quotations.
Life moves on, sometimes at a rate of pace. Email and no secretary. Spreadsheets for Excel. Word word documentation. Mobile phones everywhere. I try, more or less,to keep up despite my age - I’m 75 today.
Happy 75th birthday !!!
Thank you kindly Minx!
Not in the least.
Whoa! Kept that quiet didn’t you?
Happy Birthday!
Whatever the disadvantages of growing old may be - it is still better than the alternative!
Happy Birthday - I hope it was a lovely one! I bet Max spoiled you.
The power electronics or the birthday??
Thank you kindly ST. And I think Max keeps an eye on me.
And a late Happy Birthday from me too, Besoeker.
A belated Happy Birthday from me too, Besoeker.
And me too
Happy Belated Besoeker hope you had a great day…
Well done Besoeker for keeping up with technology, I’m afraid I’m stuck in the past but at least I know something about that…
May I wish you a very happy birthday and hope that you, Mrs B and Max are keeping in good health…
