Adobe elements latest version

Having just downloaded the adobe elements 2026 version one might be interested in what I had to do. First was conflict with previous versions, so i had to eliminate EVERYTHING to do with Adobe from my computer, including checking registery. just deleting is not enough there are leftovers remaining. Anyway that is what I found.
Next RAW files.
The adobe Elements 2026 direct download does not include RAW files. To do that go into Elements help and look for plugins. Yes to have the Raw files in elements 2026 needs this extra download.
Not being that computer wise it did take me quite a long time to fathom out and clear the conflicts and the RAW downloads.
So I also went back into the computer to set up a restore point. I did hjave one before but windows automatic11 update caused me trouble and the previous restore point was lost.

Hope this is of some help for those contimplating the same

I have got Elements 2024 installed. I get tempted to upgrade sometimes but I’m not using Elements all that much and prefer PaintShop Pro for editing. This seems to be stuck on the 2023 version but it is a fair program. Even so, I might upgrade if a newer version comes out. I read there is some disquiet with the new Elements 3 year licence. A fair time I suppose but once the period is up, the program stops working…

Also, I am quite impressed With some of the online editors for: colorizing - background removal - enhancing. Not quite the same as installed editors but pretty good. Take a look at Lunapic for instance. Put it though a few operations (top toolbar options)…

LunaPic | Free Online Photo Editor - Edit, Adjust & Create

Thanks mart, I’ll have a look at that tomorrow.

I am very happy with Picasa 3 and Paint dot Net for most photo related things

Gimp is loaded onto my desktop but I rarely use it and when I do, I have to refer to a YouTube tutorial to do what ever it is I want to do. Big learning curve.

Do like free stuff for happy amateur snappers.

It’s some years since I tried Paint.net and I might take another look at it. I’ve always been drawn to computer graphics programs. I can’t explain why but it went beyond purely editing. Just impressed by the way images could be made as well I suppose. The interest has faded these days but revives from time to time. This is one of the very first I made in Windows 95’s original Paint program…

Edit: It was just the car. The plinth was added later when I got CorelDraw 4.

I can’t use Gimp either, but it’s got one handy tool: Perspective (shortcut Shift+P)

So you can copy your jpeg from, say, PDN, paste it into GIMP then drag the corners to correct or exaggerate the perspective.
