A warning to dog walkers

That was my view too about the loo!. Blocking the lavvy is not savvy!

In my experience most dog owners have poo bags in one pocket and doggy treats in the other, in virtually every coat they own, well at least thatā€™s what itā€™s like in this houseā€¦ :smiley:

Itā€™s horrible when you reach for a tissue and find yourself blowing your nose on a poo bag .

Same here, not sure which is worse at times dog poo not picked up, or poo picked up but the bag thrown into the hedge/ bushes, treeā€™s etc .

Dog poo is toxic to the grass so has to be lifted up. Also, it really ought to be disposed of differently to regular rubbish due to the bacteria levels. This is why it shouldnā€™t be flushed down the loo - our sewer systems arenā€™t equipped to deal with it.

I use biodegradable bags from Sainsbury and stick it in the general waste wheelie bin at home if there are no council bins on the way. There are v few dog waste bins these days. Iā€™d never flush it down the loo. Youā€™d have to take it out of the bag (how?). Doggy dos in the garden go into a poo bag and in the bin too. Lots of people donā€™t pick their dog waste up though. Thereā€™s nobody policing this. Itā€™s only if your neighbours hate you that you might get caught. There was a nextdoor thread about it.

@Besoeker, Obviously you remove the contents first !!
Quite a simple operation as you will find if you try it ??
Anymore questions ??

@PixieKnuckles If you dont mind my saying so pixie,you are talking,
well, shyte there!!
Shyte is shyte !
Our toilets and sewage systems were designed specifically to deal with
turds, at a cost of billions of Ā£s l might add, ??
And dog owners on this forum prefer to go back to the 18th century and
leave their sewage in the street for collection ??!!
The mind boggles !!
Donkeyman !:-1::thinking::thinking::-1:
One proviso would be that owners of large dogs should be supplied with
larger bags ?

So should mums be scooping out poo from baby nappies and throwing it down the loo?

@Besoeker, Obviously you remove the contents first !![/quote]

Have you tried it?

@AnnieS , My answer to that is, what happens to the dog shyte that is
collected from the bins then Annie ??
I suspect that it ends up on the public tip ??Where the toxoca is in contact
with soil and also lays there for a long time before they die !!
Donkeyman ! :+1::grin::+1:

@Besoeker , Yes l have used this method !Seems so obvious to me ??
Donkeyman! :thinking::thinking:

@Donkeyman of course I donā€™t mind, you are entitled to your opinion. :upside_down_face: However, I will say that you are wrong though. Dog poo has so much more bacteria in it than our sewer systems are designed to deal with. Our sewers are for our waste, not dog poo.

@AnnieS l am surprised by you Annie ??You seemed so sensible on
other matters ??
Of course if the knappies arent disposable then they shouldnt be disposed of
down the loo as they present more risk of clogging the sewers than a large
turd which is shaped to negotiate sewers ??
Any more questions ??
Donkeyman! :roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

Do you have a dog?

Depends .
If they are using cloth nappies yes .
If they are using environmentally unfriendly disposables no .
And that goes for baby wipes / wet wipes loo paper too blooming things block up the sewers.

@PixieKnuckles , Will you agree then yhat all animal wastes are
Bio-degradable pixie ??
Donkeyman! :grin::grin:

@AnnieS , You asked the question first Annnie ?
