47th President Trump

Thatcher (in the 1980s) also changed the law regarding children of British males in that they are no longer automatically British citizens if born overseas - ie my kids would have been able to apply for a British Passport - however I understand they still can get a certificate of patriality which allows them to stay and work in the UK.

Not that you can blame Donald Trump for that.

I did notice that Donald’s thought bubble of solving the Ukraine war within 24 hours of taking office has been extended

Review the investigative actions of the Biden administration, “to correct past misconduct by the federal government related to the weaponization of law enforcement and the weaponization of the intelligence community.”

End remote work policies and order federal workers back to the office full time.

Halt new federal rules from going into effect before Trump administration appointees can review them.

Bar asylum for people newly arriving at the southern border.

Suspend the Refugee Admissions Program “until such time as the further entry into the United States of refugees aligns with the interests of the United States.”

Resume a policy requiring people seeking asylum to wait in Mexico while an immigration judge considers their cases.

Consider designating cartels as “foreign terrorist organizations.”

Terminate D.E.I. programs across the federal government.

Recognize two sexes: male and female.

Remove protections for transgender people in federal prisons.

Direct federal agencies to begin an investigation into trade practices, including persistent trade deficits and unfair currency practices, as well as examine flows of migrants and drugs from Canada, China and Mexico to the United States.

Assess China’s compliance with a trade deal Mr. Trump signed in 2020, as well as the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, which Trump signed in 2020 to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement.

Withdraw the United States from the Paris Agreement, the pact among almost all nations to fight climate change.

Halt the leasing of federal waters for offshore wind farms.

Withdraw from the World Health Organization.

Rename Mount Denali and the Gulf of Mexico.

Ensure that states carrying out the death penalty have a “sufficient supply” of lethal injection drugs.

Implement the Department of Government Efficiency, the Elon Musk-led cost-cutting initiative.

Revoke security clearances for 51 signers of a letter suggesting that the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop could be Russian disinformation.

HUH!! Imagine that?!? Just the first of his long list of fantasies he ran his mouth about that will never come to fruition.

What a Blowhard…

Trump is talking to both leaders of those countries. That is more than any other nation or group of nations have accomplished. And Biden made it harder by stopping restrictions on US weapons usage.

Noticed how Hamas started talking when Trump won the election. Trumps actions got thing moving, more than any other countries combined.

The list above has accomplished more for the US than the last administration 4 years. And firing the incompetent appointees.

Does the president have the power to implement such changes? I thought states had their own legal autonomy on many issues.

Oh, come on! That is just fantasy, certainly Trump was the catalyst but it was Israel that realised the game was up and agreed to the terms that Hamas has accepted at least six months earlier.

The list you provided was simply the statement of intent of this incoming administration. Nothing has yet been accomplished. Even ones that can be set out in executive orders are not accomplishments. So freeing a bunch of violent rioters is an action, there is not really anything of note that has been accomplished. What is the accomplishment here (apart from confirming that this administration fully protects violent thugs as long as the violence is directed at those not supporting this administration)?

I couldn’t find any funny bits. He’s usually hilarious but I lost interest partway through.

Pay attention, an important part is not being mentioned by the snowflakes

Noticed how Trump is talking to more reporter in the last couple of days the the whole time of the previous administration

Hit the ground running, can he maintain this pace.

Good question. The difference between executive orders, Congressional, and state laws are the scope of each. This differences is articulated in Article II of the Constitution that gives the President sweeping powers over the Executive Branch - which includes major departments like Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, the Department of Treasury, and so on… For example, the elimination of DEI programs only applies to the federal government. If a business concern wishes to continue DEI programs, that right is not abolished.

If an executive order is perceived to interfere with laws beyond the Executive Branch, it is usually challenged in the courts. The President knows this, and uses the order as a way to force the issue into the courts, effectively accelerating a decision on pressing issues. An example of this was this week’s executive order on birthright determinations.

The states and federal government usually only butt heads over executive orders when that state receives federal funding related to the issue at hand, or when federal law supersedes state law.

Over 416 illegals arrested to be deported in less than 16 hours under executive order. All in sanctuary cities. More to come.

Do you know what size the population of Oregon is for comparison?

Thanks for reducing my worry about wage inflation being caused by removing these workers from the labour pool. I’m less worried because the 416 in 16 hours equates to 624 in a day. As there are 11.5 million people without residency rights in the US it will take over 18,000 days to remove them all. 55 years. It looks like Americans can expect to benefit from cheap workers to do the crud jobs for quite some time.

It only happened in one area… Chicago.

They are just getting started.

What then is your expectation of peak deportation rates? How much quicker than 55 years might we expect?
And are you suggesting that Americans should worry about a spike in labour costs?

Does this mean that children could be stateless.

500 arrested yesterday, these are only reports from individual cities, not nation wide arrests.

To get the national number ,research each city.
