1 mile challenge

Hi again everyone!

I challenged myself to ride my homemade 36 inch “ultimate wheel” (no frame or saddle) a full mile, non-stop, around a local 1/4 mile track. Since each lap (4 total) took about 2 1/2 to 3 minutes, I didn’t want to have a long, 12 minute video, so I used the “time warp” mode of my GoPro which is essentially a time lapse, which reduces total viewing time to less than 50 seconds.

I really didn’t think I could go more than one lap because not only is this homemade wheel extremely heavy, but also riding it that long/far would be like riding a regular unicycle while holding the seat out in front of you the whole time, so you’re pedaling while standing continuously! A great workout thought. :slightly_smiling_face:

Have you heard of the expression “Nutter” by any chance? Give my my old unicycle any day, except now at 80+ I wouldn’t get very far even for a dare or double dare😉
