I defy anyone to listen to this and not be moved. It was used as the theme to the TV film about the Holocaust and it made sad beyond any sadness I could remember.

I haven’t seen the film but found it very relaxing and not so much sad.

IF YOU’RE A DEPRESSION OR ANXIETY SUFFERER, DON’T LISTEN TO THIS!

Gustav Mahler’s No 10. Watch out for surprises! He knew he was dying when he wrote this, and you can hear a lot of that, in this piece!

Something to relax and unwind to is Massenet’s Thias Meditation.
Before arthritis stopped her playing, my blondie was great with her bow while I tinkled the ivories :violin::musical_keyboard::musical_score:

Another very calming piece we used to play to our babies to calm them. This is by Arvo Part and a favourite of mine.

Have your children inherited any of your musical talent ?

All three of our blood line daughters have a flair for music and so does our adopted daughter who is distantly related. Perhaps it’s not so much of inherited flair, but parental influence from a very early age.
