You know about Australia's Drop Bears, right?

Bedraggled Koala.
This is the original picture of the doctored one which became the Dreaded Australian Drop Bear Pin up Poster.
The usually cute and cuddly creature was sleeping in a tree when it was given an unexpected soaking with a garden sprinkler.
Koalas are usually known for their fluffy fur coats - but this one was left almost unrecognisable after the soaking.
Drenched from head to toe, the marsupial even took the time to stick its tongue out after being sprayed.

The fiercely territorial Australian Drop Bear.

Don’t go down in the woods today
Because you’re sure of a big surprise
If you go down in the woods today
You’d better go in disguise!

For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain
Because today’s the day the
Drop Bears have their picnic

DROP BEARS TARGET PEOPLE with foreign accents more often than those who are Australian-born, according to new research.
The study, conducted in a drop-bear hot-spot in New South Wales, aimed to gather data around the behaviour and ecology of the elusive species.
“Drop bears are known to be very territorial,” says Volker. “They do not stray far from a relatively small number of trees in close proximity that are used as hunting ground.”

We got quite a shock on one walk. There was a very cute Koala sitting in the tree looking sleepy but as soon as it saw us it gave out the loudest growl I’ve ever heard
