I have not used this format before getting the Adobe Premier Element 2025 editing suite. MOV format is known for their high-quality video and audio, and are often used in professional video editing and post-production. in other words better than MP4 and a lot better than AVCHD.
A lot smoother panning now, no frame jumping at last
Recording birds (yes Bruce again in my back garden) with the Azden SMX-30V microphone and the Panasonic HC-X1500 camcorder.
Sorry Bruce the Sony AX 53 hs its own formats :cry: :cry:

so from now on It is videoing in MOV format, as that seems to be the best so far

The Panasonic G9ii also has MOV format which is handy if I want to combine both

.MOV is just a “container” for MP4 but created by Apple - Just like MKV (but not the same)

You can rip the MP4 out of the container without loss. I don’t know why Apple does this.

Apple also created m4v which can be usually renamed to mp4 - the only difference between the two is that m4v can have DRM added

Stick to MP4 it is effectively the same and an international standard
