Yesterday I had a Lamb Stuffed Paratha

The stall next to the Indian food outlet was Vietnamese cuisine.

One dish took my eye - Raw Beef - Beef Rolls and Tripe :face_vomiting:

Wow!
Thanks for sharing Bretrick. I think I’m about to say goodbye to my breakfast :face_vomiting::wink:

Wait until you try Balut, raw beef is child’s play by comparison - How many nations eat raw fish?

Wouldn’t recommend it on The Sussex Coast given the sewage situation.

Eating Balut is just sick in my opinion

That is going to be a long, long wait for me. I had to look up balut to find out what you were referring to. That is as bad as it gets. I’m ok with many foods - I’ll happily eat raw fish, raw scallops, raw prawn and raw meat (tartar or carpaccio). I’ll eat (but not enjoy) tripe. But I did not know where to draw the line in eating things until now. Balut is definitely a not-even-going-to-think-about-trying-ever dish.
So in a way, thanks for sharing and educating me.

I’ll try most things (though definitely not balut). When I was in Cambodia the bus stopped for a lunch break. At a road side stall I bought some deep fried cockroaches and grasshoppers with every intention of trying them.

Complete failure! As much as I tried I could not put them in my mouth, so much for insects being a food source of the future.
