Well, it will grow back in 6 months.
What it was was 1.5 cubic metres of mass entanglement.
It has taken me 3 weeks to cut back to the bare bones, and let me tell you, this bush was anything but happy about the short back and sides I inflicted upon it.
At least 20 times the massive thorns grabbed hold of me, inflicting deep pricks over my hands.
Anyways, I date stamped the photo and have written on the wall calendar, for the 18th February to photograph said rose bush again. Will there be a magnificence, or has Bretrick gone too far with the trim?
Time will tell.

I think you are going to have to talk to it very nicely every day.

I done my bit by giving it a haircut. Imma staying away from now on, lest it reaches out and pricks me agin.

The reason why i never have roses in the garden - thorns!
Although they would grow beautifully here with all the clay soil, but i think i’d rather admire them in other peoples gardens.
Maybe get some good feed for it Bretrick, and give it plenty of TLC.

I’ve never had an issue with the thorns, just the blackspot!
